Clearly you don't even look at Wilsons' stats in the pocket which is the goal for Denver. He SUCKS and is BELOW average in stats, QBR, EVERYTHING. Sure it will be hard to contain Lynch, but I'm sure they'll do a better job than containing Moreno. Why does every Seattle backer believe that it will only come down to Manning pass on every play? Seattle will and can only pressure Manning IF they can get to him in about the 3 seconds it takes for this master of the game to get the ball out. That's hardly enough time to pressure a QB unless the offensive line just gives up. If for some reason the secondary can take away the pass, that WILL open up the run play, that in turn opens up the pass.
It's basic football and clearly this concept has flew over the heads of every Seattle backer. Denver is MUCH more well balanced offensively and has a GOOD defense. Seattle has a good run game with a mistake prone QB which can get out of the pocket to extend plays. First play against SF in the last game, WILSON FUMBLE
Seattle's O-line allows for a lot of sacks and pressure on Wilson, MUCH more than against Manning, especially during the end of the season.
It's clear that you want to avoid actual stats to support Seattle. Maybe you love them, maybe you don't but it seems like you really HATE Denver. I don't hate Seattle one bit, I believe they're a good team but also have their flaws, just like Denver except they have many more where it really counts. It's these flaws that will dictate the game.
Denver has proved they can outscore ANYONE, including other high powered offenses while Seattle has proved that they can only beat average ranked offenses. Indy proved that you can score on this impressive secondary and score A LOT. 34 points is nothing to sneeze at. When it came down to who can score more, they lost to Indy with weather not being an absolute factor. Seems like they really should've had their "12th man" there, then maybe they would've had a better chance of winning.
Wilson barely getting 200 passing yards against Denver will become an issue in this game. Even when he and Lynch both ran for a couple over 100 yards which were both season highs for both men up till that point, they still LOST. Yes they had the lead first but when it came down to the surprising passing game, which Seattle is known for defending against, got torched for 2 TD's to TY Hilton. Where was Sherman in all of that? I saw that he got BURNT in that game off the line. Funny thing is that Denver is ranked 1 higher in overall defense in the regular season than Indy and only got BETTER! Wow, not impressive at all huh?
Now imagine in that Indy game, they primarily had Wayne and Hilton as their best receivers. That's 2, Denver has 4 receivers just as good if not better! Keep trying to show me something that actually makes me believe that Seattle is an overall better team than Denver.
