And now for the dark side of wagering. The Patriots paid me swell on Monday night. But their pattern has been up and down. the Rams are on the way up with good coaching now. Frankly any points over 4 is too many. The Rams will run roughshod over the aging New England defenders. They cannot be expected to have a performance such as Monday nights again in consecutive weeks. Rams plus anything over 4.

Watch, I wouldn't make such a quick call on this one. The PATS DEF will be playing at home again...and Bill has his DEF running full tilt. If this was a road game I would tend to agree with you but if that line dips below 7...I am all over it.

Don't think Bulger will break his finger on the first play in this one. St. Louis's offense will have some rhythm unlike DEN on MNF allowing them to score- bringing NE's defense back to earth. No Harrison at practice this week or ever again- may have an effect on the psyche of NE's defense after the Rams score a few times.
Initial lean on the Rams and the over. More research on that O/U though. GLTA

You guys watch the MNF? NE was lucky to get this win. After 2 T/Os they only had 6 points and DEN couldn't defend the run. Also, DEN looked pretty good passing almost at will. Too bad they didn't get the running game going.
Rams +7, maybe even a ML bet.

with a line of 7, I am taking the Rams with Haslett coaching them. He is a seasoned veteran coach with sound fundamentals. I was among the minority along with you on the Pats on Monday night. And without the field position gained with the turnovers and questionable calls going in their favor (or lack thereof; they had open field holding calls ignored blatantly), they really didn't impress me that much. Everyone knows that Cassel doesn't throw anything over 10 yard passes. The Rams seem energized. To steal a cliche from peppy222, I want to be the parade, and not a spectator when the Rams become the Rams again. Not wise to wait for them to run off three straight covers before joining the party. I like what I see. Energy and focus that wasn't there at the beginning of the season. After their last win they believe that they can beat anybody.
Rams+7 and more by Sunday with public donation

Mr.Watch me and you think alot a like about this game. I was also one of the few on New England to you can read my write up to the reason why in that forum. Here is why I am wagering big on the Rams first of all Mr. Watch you are right about coach Haslett, second is New England have not cover a spread all year long bigger then -3 home or away, third Steven Jackson is a great running back that is going to give the Pats problems because of the play action and Rodney Harrison not being no where near 100% in this game he is one of the keys in run support for the
Pats and Finally the Rams are playing alot better defense then at the begining of the season just ask the Redskins and the Cowboys. Cap all of that off with Mr.Haslett have the Rams believeing that they can compete and win. All of these facts I stated above equals a Rams cover and even a win SU at New England. GL to all betting this game.

Not that I'm endorsing a Pats play this weekend....or a Rams play for that matter. Maybe NE wasn't great on Monday night, but they pretty much dominated that game for at least 3 quarters

I know man, Luckiest team ever. I mean if they didn't get those early 6 points, they might have only won 35-7. Lucky for them it wasn't that close....

Stephen Jackson strained a quad at the end of the Cowboy game. He says he'll be ready for this game. If he is, I'll take the Rams and the points. The Rams are coming on.

Take whoever you want, but the defense is going to be playing for Rodney on Sunday, and if things go the way its lookin, we should have John Lynch in the secondary to fill the void he left. Pats will dominate on both sides of the ball. And to correct someone else, yes the Pats have not covered a spread over 3 points all year, because they have only been favored by more than that twice. Once in the first game of the year when we thought we had brady, and a second time before people realized the dolphins were not as bad as people thought.

Has Lynch been on the practice squad this whole time? Can he still run?

Well, I'm not sure if STL beat Dallas or if Dallas beat themselves. Brad Johnson had 3 picks and Dallas couldn't get their offense going. I appreciate and respect your points but I like New England if the line drops.

The line won't drop. Matter of fact, with consensus numbers like 66% to 34%, I think that the line will go up to 7.5 by Sunday, because there was a whole piss pot full of people watching Monday Night Football that don't really understand the dark side of the game (wagering) and are laying the Patriots thinking that there is such a thing as free money in this thing of ours. Dallas may have beaten themselves with turnovers in bad areas of the field, but so did Denver. Rewind the dvr, and watch it again without emotion, and you will see that New England had a lot of favorable calls go their way. And I was on New England's side. A nut is just what it is.
If the number doesn't go up with all of the bettors on the Patriots, that will tell you all that you need to know about this game.
Rams baby. Get on em now and ride them until the wheels fall off. They are a .500 type team that lacked leadership. They have it now. They won't make the playoffs this year, but with a good showing this year, Haslett will get the job. You know what that means. Covers

im wondering how dallas beat themselves when rams scored 34 pts .thats pretty much enogh pts to beat any team . .and ''brad johnson through 3 picks'' not all the QBs fault .good defence to .. and the offence couldnt get going becasue rams stepped it up give them some credit

NE hurting with the loss of Harrison too bad but my boys are weakening Rams will get a lot of play from out of town this week and if more dollars fall the line may even go down 1/2 more in either case it's a spirited group that will try harder than usual to knock of the Pats at home this week, but don't be fooled the Rams secondary is suspicious and we haven't lost Moss yet Belicheck will explot the holes and Cassells can cover a touchdown if he dosen't get behind early. Leaning Pats at home.

Pace back in the line-up, a some-what healthy Steven Jackson is still pretty good, Holt, Bulger, Avery, Atogwe. I like the Rams. Green-Ellis may end up being the lead RB for NE.
