i'm 100% convinced that Coloneljim is a bookie... i've been watching his posts for ages... his predictions are always ultra-conservative, with them ending up right around the spread and total 95% of the time... and wrong easily 70-75% of the time...
and yet he keeps on posting with no lack of confidence...
i don't look at all threads... only the ones i am betting on or considering, so i don't see all of his picks... but i know the games i play he's almost always on the other side... and therefore he is almost always losing...
nobody should be on the Buccs in this one...

the NFC power structure is as follows this year:
1) Giants (don't even start... if you watched them last night you know this is the best team in the NFC... still!)
2) NO Saints... easily the 2nd best QB in the NFC (maybe 1st?)... more offensive talent than any team in the NFL... and some great defensive additions...
3) Minnesota... best offensive line in the NFL... best defensive line in the NFL... best RB in the NFL... if Jackson can be middle of the road, they win the division running away...
4) Philly... with a healthy McNabb they are a very dangerous team... he will need his top 2 WRs to get healthy, and if they do, expect Jackson to be very Welker-like coming out of the slot for Donovan...
5) Dallas... man... trust me... this team is going to disappoint this year... they will be a wildcard at best...
i will get a lot of heat for this list... but not if you come back at the end of the year... this is the way it is...
Dallas is easily the class of the NFC, NO may be a close second, Philly, Minn, NY Giants
We have the same 5 but nowhere near the same order, it will be interesting to see how it plays out

I was at the Giant/Redskin game and if thats the best team in the NFC, the NFC sucks. Wash dropped at least 3 INTs. Giants scored a TD on the opening drive when the stadium was going nuts and that was it. Skins O-Line couldn't handle Tuck, but their line isn't very good. Giants will be lucky to make the playoffs, IMO.

I totally agree with you GoG, , I can recall his threads from last season too, anyone banking on him is

i would readily concede that the top 5 are all very close.. can see anyone of them winning the NFC and getting to the SB... and Dallas may end being the 2nd best team... i only put them at 5 because of what i expect from the other teams... NO and Philly will be very hungry this year... i expect Philly or NY to win the NFC east...
like i said, maybe Dallas lives up to expectations...
regardless, the Giants are at the top... the defense looks good enough, and they have without a doubt the best QB in the NFC... i am not even remotely willing to listen to any argument... i'm not a huge Giants fan, but i know what i see... Eli has moved himself up right behind Peyton and Brady as the best QBs in the league... and we all know the important of QB play... combine that with a nasty defense, and you've got something...
i'll buy into Romo when he comes through down the stretch...
