Tennessee at Houston (11/23/2009)

Hard to choose a side on this one for me...

Both teams have defenses that have struggled in stopping the run so I expect both teams to put 8 in the box to stuff the run. But by doing that this should open up the passing game for both teams. I don't think both teams will go away from their rushing game but will probably have chances to go downfield with their passing game.

Titans own the better rushing attack with Chris Johnson and he should be effective against the Texans 14th ranked run defense. While the Texans have struggled with their running game I think they can establish a running game if they balance it out with their passing attack.

Vince Young has brought back some life into the Titans so this should be a much better game to watch for MNF.

The Texans rarely has the chance to be in the spotlight and I feel that this game should give them a chance to showcase their team.

tenn off if aver. 27 points a game on this winning streak agains bad defenses twice at home.  Their def scored 21 poins. the last game went over when houstons D, which shut down cincy and indy at their houses, have been playing very well and they r home. Also there was two huge runs one was 91 yards and a 71 yard catch. this won't happen again. houston will run the ball 24+ times keeps the clock going. tenn will try to keep houstons offense off the field with long clock runs. very close game love the under. if i had to take a team it would be tenn +4 i think a fg end the game.

I think Titans are peaking at the right time, to make their season respectable.....

Houston is off a bye-week, but the loss to their go-to-tight end is a big loss...

I gotta roll with the Titans getting the points.... cjohnson and vince young have been rolling and Houston defense isn't going to stop them...

let's see what happen the first half, then bet large in the second.

Defense will be tight on both sides while the O keeps it conservative till the 2nd half to see how things are going.Texans will step up on the Rush D to slow down Johnson and force VY to pass.When VY starts working the pass expect the blitzs to kick in and keep him scrambling.(expect a fumble or interception here as a result)Tenn will try and keep pressure on Schaub so he doesnt get comfy in the pocket and pick them apart all night.Slaton will have the chance to redeem himself and he'll make the best of it.If he stumbles....Moats is ready and waiting.Both teams possess average Run D's while Tenn's pass D is way below par.I see Schaub taking advantage here.

As such....Under looks good.Houston gets the win but can they cover..The million dollar question eh?

I think Bud Ryan will be flipping the bird again after this one (figuratively speaking). Titans moneyline +170. The fantasy point projections for CJohnson: 132 yards rushing, 35 receiving with 1.6 TDs and if he has those #s, the Titans should be favored to win IMO..... Loving the over here as well.

This one got me twisted

Houstons offensive has been coming out explosive in the first half of their past 4 or so home games scoring at least 20 in each one. Assuming Houston can continue to do just that coming out of a bye week, and counting on Tennessee to throw in 7 to the mix.

Tennessee in the 2nd half is a whole different team.  The coaching staff has been coming out of the half with great adjustments and players have been executing.  Hoping to see the same thing happen today.  Should stay within the chalk.
