aside from the weather, last year the jets spanked tenn on their home field. now this year you have an improved jets team facing a tenn team which until this point is not the same team from last season. and the jets are home. minus haynesworth, also add that the jets beat houston week one as they in turn beat the titans last week. granted anyone can win on any given sunday but thats just what i think. the meadowlands will be rocking for sure. besides i've never been a fan of kerry collins and i just don't see him beating the jets on offense. jets money line for me. gl to all

their first two games were against the revenge minded defending champions and a divisional rival hard up for a win against them.  Two very losable games.  Really not that hard to explain especially when both games are lost by a field goal.  Now they have a great situation to exact revenge.  You have to be able to think outside the box a little here on this one

Titans lost so far to Pitt. 10 to 13,and Houston 31 to 34.

nice post, thats how i feel about my bears. i wish i was going to that game. the jets have me rooting for them with their new shit talking attitudes and winning. im on the jets with yuh kid lets get this.

People are freaking on the Jets after that win over New England and I tell you what, it'll say a hell of a lot about their maturity if they don't have a letdown and win this game.

Or if Tennessee is indeed, as bad as everyone has convinced themselves that they are.

Couple things here - while the Jets absolutely deserve credit for beating the hoody last week, it's easy to forget that a number of circumstances lined up just right for them to win that game, most significantly, Brady's inability to step into his throws as well as his lack of a safety valve in Wes Welker's absence.

All of this was predicated by the fact that New England has become primarily a passing team and Rex Ryan - again to his credit - has become the master of the blitz.

The Titans are gonna' run the ball . . . alot.  Especially if the rain is pouring down.

The Jets are much improved, they got it up for that game, Sanchez has been totally solid, they made it their super bowl, and they won.

Tennessee is still, the veteran team in this scenario.  And has everybody completely forgotten about the fact that they almost walked onto Heinz field and took out the champs?!

And as Wang mentioned, Houston is tough division rival who routinely put up huge numbers last year when Schaub was healthy.

Yes, Big Ben ripped up Tennessee.  The guy's a good quarterback, like Schaub, and he made some great throws that night.

In my mind, it's still too early to assume Jeff Fisher (trickster that he is) and the rest of his staff won't help the secondary make some adjustments.  They've said the errors have been mental. Remember when the Colts "couldn't stop the run" the year they won the Super Bowl?  Go ahead and tell a bunch of professional football players who believe the adjustments they need to make are mental that they can't do something.  There's a reason Jeff Fisher is one of the longest tenured coaches in the league.

This is an intriguing game and I may not bet it, but at the end of the day, Tennessee needs this game alot more than the Jets do.  And if, as Wang suggested, that line is moving the wrong way, we shouldn't even be wasting time with these debates . . . but loading up on the flaming T.

Some good back and forth there guys. Titans just not the same team this year.  Jets, its too early to tell how good they are but they are better right now than the Titans, and at home!  With the bad weather and the way the Titans came rush the ball, this is a game to hard for me to get my dumbass head around.  The under is looking better all the time.  

It doesn't matter because you can't just do A + B = C in sports gambling.  It doesn't work that way.

It's about the way teams match-up with one another.

And what they just went through and what they might be looking forward to.

Tennessee Titans @ New York Jets

This game is of extreme importance to Tennessee, one defeat against the Jets and they will be 0-3, which would a terrible start for the Titans and therefore, this game it is much more important for them than for the Jets.

The Titans' Defense on their last game was horrible and they manage to lost a game that was practically in the bag. In order to win this game, Tennessee D has to play at the same level they did against Pittsburgh and I believe they will do it because they have a lot of quality players for the job and will surely do the "Blitz" against the Jets QB Sanchez leading the rookie to commit mistakes.

Tennessee has an excelent Rushing Game and that will be the main offensive weapon for this game, since their QB Kerry Collins is average, usually he doesn't take the most correct decisions in the field and against such a good Jets Defense, the Titans will have to rely most of the time on their Ground Offense, and even by using the rush, things are not going to be easy.

The New York Jets had a great season start and their Defense showed a lot of quality, playing much better than their Offense counterpart, and without Calvin Pace. Jets D have been completely onfire and I even don't want to imagine how good they will be when Pace comes back. They have been superb on both sides, stoping both the opponent's rushing game and passing game, showing a lot of agression and provoking a lot of errors on the opponents QBs.

The Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez has done good games lately, but you can be sure that one day things will not get well for his side, which is natural to expect on his first regular season and he will have a lot more troubles facing the Titans D, which we can expect to play a lot harder than the previous defenses Sanchez faced, specially with their Blitzes.

The Jets Defense has been very strong, playing very agressive and they don't give much chances to their opponents to score, on the other hand, the Titans also have an excelent D despite the meltdown on their last game, but knowing for a fact that Tennessee badly needs a win on this game, makes me believe that this will be a Low Point Game and therefore, the Under has a lot of value.

I wanted the over in this one at 37...felt the number was on the low side...I feel that Coach Ryan will try to use the weakness of the Titans secondary to the Jets advantage...Also felt that the Titans will run plays that might burn the Jets defense for all the blitz packages they got planned for this game..

I'm laying off this game as I wanted the over at 37...please let me know if the weather changes...
