I really like Eli Manning, and I feel for him.  He has to be frustrated.  His WR's can't catch for s#!t.
 
Haynesworth will give the Redskin rush did a noticable improvement.  Load the box, and see if Butterfingers Nicks can beat you.

The first game of the regular season is always tricky and unpredictable.  Proceed with caution.

i think washington is really going to improve this year.  and at the same time the giants have only gotten worse.  Im making a money line bet on the skins right here.  The giants secondary is injury ridden with ross and dockery not playing.  they also have 8 other guys on the injury list.  They are not coming into he season in good shape.  They also dont have toomer there to bail out eli on 3rd down conversions.  And at the same time you have an improved washington defense that its going to create more pressure with haynesworth occupying two linesmen almost every play.  This will create more pocket pressure and give eli less time to make decisions when he has less options to bail him out than he did last year. this could very well turn into eli manning turning the ball over just like old times.  washington has enough weapons on offense and with the weakened giants secondary i think they take this game straight up.  gimme that +240

my honest openion is that washington is a better team than the giants today.. not sure if they will pull a win here but i know the giants will not cover the spread unless the skins corter back gets enjured or something....

Redskins +6.5 (3 units) vs. Giants - a bit of a homer pick I know but I don't think either team will score too much and it's a rivalry game.  I'm hoping the Skins can put up at least 17 points.

homer pick for me also Obes  If the G-men stumble out of the gate, it could be a long season for this club. I don't think Manning, Osi (who is chomping at the bit) or Coughlin will allow that to happen. Giants get it done at home.

Washington Redskins @ New York Giants

QB Ely Manning is a franchise quarterback and the Giants are very fortunate to have him on their team, but their greatest absence is Plaxico Burress, which was the number one receiver of Manning's passes. Since Burress got in trouble with the Law, Manning has suffered a lot and the new receivers signed by the Giants, are very inexperienced despite I see that they show some quality, but overall the Giants offense is going to have a lot of problems, specially that the Redskins have a nice defense.
Redskins offense will be focused in rushing the ball, since their passing game sucks. However, the Giants are very effective at stopping that kind of offensive game, because they have excelent players for that job. Factoring all these elements, we have everything to see a Low Point Game and I believe that we will not have very much points scored in this game.

With you on this one brother. Rivalry game in the season opener, both teams come out slow. buying the hook+.5 to make it an even TD just in case...

I am a HUGE Giants fan but I am very worried that they might be looking ahead to playing the Cowboys in the new stadium next week. The Giants HATE the Cowboys! Giants win by a FG.

Giants = no receiving, no improvements ( inexperienced receivers), but they beat Was last season by 20 +
So does this matter today ?
Wash = is an improved team and don't have a bad away record overall.

Both have great D but, wash maybe gets some experience points.

1st game of year is always tricky especially as division rivals.

Not allot of scoring here....no way

leaning towards skins +6.5 under 37

still not sure though
