He's still working out 2 times a day, and is still trying to make his body look like a shredded body builder.
He's to the point in his life where he just needs to concentrate on being able to have a healthy enough body to function in every day life. The days of being an elite athlete are long gone. I fear that he can't accept that. If he quits now he can probably live a healthy life, continue to be an awesome Dad, and figure out the next chapter in his life. If he keeps working and trying to be the golfer he once was, I fear he may injure himself severely and permanently.
The game is not better with him in it. The game was better when the old Tiger was in it. The game is worse with the current Tiger in it.
I think he would be an incredible announcer/personality behind the mic. He's a great speaker, and his insight into the game would be awesome. Imagine Tiger in the booth at the majors. It would be amazing television.

great post and agree. So many on here just want to bash him. I would like for him to try and get out there if he can because he's brought us some great golf memories, but if he can't, just step away and go into the booth. I enjoy Faldo, but would dump him in a heartbeat, same with Johnny Miller. Please if he does this no FOX for their handful of tournaments.

He embarrassed himself on the worlds biggest stage cheating on his wife with dozens of women and the demons have been in his head ever since. His confidence and swagger has disappeared. Throw in the dumb decision to bulk up and you have a complete mess. Sad to see in many ways but we are all products of our decision making.

I DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THE INJURY BULLSHIT, HE'S JUST AFRAID TO BE EMBARRASED & USES THAT AS AN EXCUSE FOR HIMSELF WHEN FEELING FRAGILE. BUT HE IS A TRUE ATTENTION person THAT CAN'T BEAR TO BE NON-RELEVANT, SO HE WILL CONTINUE TO CHASE THE SPOTLIGHT EVEN WHILE BEING THE DINGLEBERRY OF THE PGA TOUR, AVERAGING LIKE 73.90 OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS

He needs to follow what Fred Couples does for his major back problems. He only plays in 5-7 tournaments a year and crushes most of them. Tigers problem is Tiger. He's now selling his long standing "win or go home" image with his new company. Laying back, playing smart and picking your opportunities is off brand. The physical can be dealt with...it's his mental/emotional state that made him the greatest, which is now screwing him up.....or he can just bang some more blond waitresses

It's ok to arrive at the end of a career, Some last Longer Some shorter but everyone in sports hangs it up . He had his day when he dominated, time for Rory , DJ , Jordan , and other to take over and it's OK. Tiger could do as much for golf not playing as he did swinging clubs if he would accept the inevitable.
