Every year it never gets old. The "new" Pro Shop is absolutely amazing. Honestly, I liked that Tiger and Phil were playing together, I would say they attracted 25-30% of the patrons that were on the grounds. Made it easier to follow others. Just like hockey, the game cannot be appreciated unless you see it live. It's always a crap shoot with golf, but my short list have a bunch of Euro's: Casey, Rose, McElroy. Still think a lefty always have an advantage. The curve you have to hit on #2 and #13 is significant. Should be a great week and weather might only effect Saturday.

question, Doc because you are there. WHO is shooting WELL in the practice rounds ??? any longs shots worth fooling with ???
I have booked these "big dog" favorites of mine just on "value" because I have seen them play WELL in past tourneys
Tyrrell Hatton 125-1 (down from 150-1 open) Kiradech Aphibarnrat 125-1 (down from 250-1 open) Kevin Chappell 150-1 (T-7th last year) Cameron Smith 150-1 Charl Schwartzel 150-1 (3rd last year) Matthew Fitzpatrick 200-1 Shubhankar Sharma 200-1 Haotong Li 200-1 Patton Kizzire 250-1 Ross Fisher 300-1 Austin Cook 300-1 Chez Reavie 300-1 Dylan Frittelli 300-1 Si Woo Kim 300-1 Jhonattan Vegas 300-1

As far as "playing well" ...hell everyone looked sharp but that is coming from a half behind golfer. If I was looking for a "long shot", I would look for someone that has played that course at least 4-5 times, hits it long and can putt. Weather forecast looks like scoring days will be Thursday and Friday with rain on Saturday and cool and BREEZY on Sunday.
Charl might be a good dog. Other than that...no young guns. I always think Kucher hangs around. But if you watch, it's the long in the tooth guys that know where to miss it and where to put it. Why do you think Freddy hangs around and Bernard? That is just my two cents, but I would never take an inexperienced golfer on that course.

Charl IMO has best shot of that group, Hatton is a knuckle head, one bad break and he will lose his mind, I do like Chappell also.

Ya Tyrrell definitely has some Bruce "Crabby" Crampton in him BUT he can shoot "wicked low" AND knows HOW to WIN. my favorite of the long shot dogs is Shubhankar Sharma 200-1. OK so he missed the cut last week and lost all three of his WGC-Match Play matches the week before BUT had the 3rd round LEAD at both the WGC-Mexico and Indian Open AND WON both the Joberg and Maybank this season the latter after playing poorly in the desert his two previous tourneys. has a lot of "Cocker Tommy" Fleetwood in him. either fighting for the lead or "blows up"
