8 doglegs left and 1 dogleg right has to favor the lefty fades (Bubba and Phil) and the righty draws (Reed and ??). Anyone care to add to the best draw players feel free to comment.
Just on a form basis I have to go against the overrated Spieth.
Amazing how the book continues to value Spieth while he does not perform.
Fleetwood E v Spieth is certainly one I am playing. May play others too. Fleetwood major performances this year are very good
Masters T17
US Open 2nd
British T12
Rose v Spieth RD1 (-110)
Rose has been Top 10 in 5 straight events. He did w/d from the Bridgestone last week with a back injury but I am reading it was a minor tweak and Rose just wanted some extra time to be sure to be ready this week. Rose is 7th Strokes gained Tee to Green and 6th in putting and 16th strokes gained around the green. Spieth cant match that.
I bet Koepka +140 v Rory when line 1st came out last night (Andy can verify that) but now it is only +108. I think this one can go either way so I took the plus $$. Rory is a lousy putter and I was listening to golf channel on XM and they said these greens are tough with lots of undulations.
Jordan Smith +120 v Haas. Haas stinks. He may lose his card and have to head to the web.com tour. I heard him interviewed before last week Barracuda event and he was very hard on himself and basically said he has lost it, is working hard, but its frustrating because the results aren't there. Then he goes out and MC at the Barracuda. How can this guy be favored -140? Jordan Smith is a pretty good young player who competes on the European tour.
Cabrera-Bello +115 v Scott.
RCB played well last week. He has been a disappointment this year but so is Scott who I call Mr. Softy. I hate Scott. I'll take a shot with the plus money
Cantlay -130 v Noren
Hate laying that much but I think Cantlay is back on his game. 3 Top 15 finishes in a row and 4 out of last 5. Noren not so great lately.
Willett +145 v Kirk
Willett playing much better was a Top 20 at the British. And he has been good in last bunch of tourneys. He was a top European player (finished 2nd in Race to Dubai 2 years in a row) and won Masters and then lost his game. I think he is back in right direction and watching him he has a renewed confidence in his look and in his walk. Great odds
Oleson +105 v Stanley. For those of us who follow the Euro tour (Rat that's you and me), we know Oleson is good. He sure showed that to others last week at the Bridgestone. Plus money and I'll take that.
Bubba -110 v Simpson. I think the 8 doglegs left will help Bubba this week and while Webb can show up near top of leaderboard every once in a while, more often he is a disappointment.
