The rankings don't fluctuate quickly. It's only a matter of time before Phil overtakes him.

What is it now 7 or 8 straight tournaments Tiger hasn't beaten him head to head??

Tiger got bitch slapped by a Frenchman today that I never heard of ranked 350 +/- in the world. Like that would ever happen previous to his scandal.

Obviously, he's still got talent but like the original poster stated, he's Mike Tyson post-Buster Douglas. He'll win tournaments but the dominance he once had when he stepped on the tee is fucking gone.... No one will ever be intimidated by him again.

Yeah he's still number 1, hasn't won in 2010. Fuck him. Anybody but him winning is alright with me. Hope you don't have to cry yourself to sleep tonight. His days at number 1 are numbered and his domination is kaput.

the thing i think everyone is missing here is that he is still one of the most talented players in the world. However, his mental edge where everyone shits the bed when playing with him or around him is gone. No one is afraid of him and no one could care less about him. Tiger is now going to have to win with his talent not with him intimidation like he did in years past

Lol this is so idiotic.  So Tiger didnt win 14 majors with talent? Tiger didnt burst onto the scene and dominate the masters in 97' with talent? was anyone intimidated by him as a newcomer and a 21 year old? lol I assume these are the same people that said Tiger would not be the same after going through swing changes following the 2000 season.  Ridiculous for anyone to think he will not win a major again.  And nobody is in a posiution to assume how dominate he can still be.  Lol at a poster that assumes Tiger isnt still the most feared player on the course.  Who is then? He has proven everybody wrong time and time again.

Good point Gut. Garcia has an awesome swing but has never lived up to the expectation we had for him. He's been out there for 10-12 years and never performed to the level of talent his swing should command. It must be nice to be a multi-millionaire and yet be an underachiever as well. He's got to be good for $10-15 million in endorsements a year.

It is a wonder, but I can't feel sorry for him, he should bust his ass 40 hours a week instead of traveling the world playing the best events he wants to play.

Tiger will be Winning Majors WHEN He is in His Fifties. Probably Sixties. Even though i Cannot root for Him (Would really just like to see Someone Else Win) He is MUCH the Best.

Would like to see some of these Posters, have to put up $$$ to Their claim of Him, NEVER Winning another Major. He wins at least "10 more" before He is through.

Only LeBron James and Roger Fed COMPARE to Tiger in Terms of Domination in Their Sport.

Bias is Comical and "So Easy" to Spot.

And the most Biased, are ALWAYS the most Jealous, Unrealistic, Non-truthful, and Mentally Disabled Humans to be Around. Frickin Pathetic Cowards as Well.

I predicted a couple years ago that Tiger would never beat  Nicklaus' majors record and I stand by it.  For anyone else, it's an impossible record to break.  Tiger was the only one with a chance of breaking it, but I don't think anyone realizes how small that chance was/is. 

Nobody stays in their prime forever.

On the flip side, I don't understand why everyone says Tiger is playing poorly. He finished in 4th place in the past two majors.  Back to back top 5 finishes in majors is pretty damn good. People's expectations of Tiger are insane.

Now vegasveteran i think its a bit harsh to say he wont win another major, give it 3 or 4 major and he wiill be back in form..his going through the toughest times of his life and lost his swing coach (well fired him) he will come around to augusta or the US and win on of them guarenteed

Personally, I believe it isn't about Tiger being a fantastic golfer, I believe it's about his competition.

Have you ever heard of Roger Bannister? He was the first person to break the 4 minute mile. Prior to Bannister, a ton of people tried and failed. Shortly after he did it many people ran a sub 4 minute mile.
You see, it was all mental. People believed they couldn't do it and when someone finally did, it was no big deal anymore.

The same idea goes with Tiger. Yes, he is an excellent golfer. But, the world saw that he was fallible in a tight match after losing to YE Yang in the PGA last year. I believe, like Bannister, the mental block of being able to beat Tiger has been lifted. We'll see.

i am not saying tiger is not talented. but when ur one of the top 3 most talented players in the game.. and your head and heals above everyone else mentally and everyone else is terrified of you.. your not going to lose in big time events much. Now the fear and mental edge he had on everyone is gone.. there is no arguing that at all. HE HAS 0 MENTAL EDGE AND FEAR FACTOR. he has to win now with just his talent. Which i think he will dont get me wrong but he will never be as succesfull as before when everyone and i mean everyone was intimidated and afraid of him.. and by the way.. everyone was afraid of him when he was 21.

The guy is 34 yrs. old people...34 ok! He still has at least 16 yrs. left to play on the Tour. He hasn't even been a pro for 16 yrs. The dude is not going anywhere and he WILL break Jacks record.

First off, Mcdowell beat the top 100 golfers in the world. All together he beat 150 top quality pros from around the world. So don't fucken act like he just beat Tiger.

Second off, anyone who TRUELY KNOWS GOLF will know that all Majors don't start till the back 9 on Sunday. That is where it is WON and LOST. Ernie has a MUCH MIUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH bigger breakdown then Tiger. Ernie had it -3 under and just played like a tour rookie soon after that.

Third off, by saying what you did in your post just means you have the greatest of all respects to Tiger. You just said Tiger got bitch slapped and so forth. Just wow, you are putting Tiger on a really high standard. So if Tiger loses a tournament, he got bitch slapped? What about the other 150 other players?

Tiger has two top 5 finish in Majors this year. That's 2 for 2. That is a GREAT YEAR so far. TIGER IS HAVING A GREAT YEAR TO NORMAL STANDARDS.
