well about the ONLY good news for me after the 1st round is Erik Van Rooyen [-4] tied 3rd and Sandy Sullivan [even] over Chris Wood [+4]. Matt Wallace must have been a "one hit wonder"  winning in India with a [+7] opening. the rest of my match plays all "wicked tight"

WOW just WOW!!! NASTY surprises all over the place after the 2nd round. Alvaro Quiros (OWGR # 435) a 2nd round [-2] for [-7] in 1st with Andrew DODT!!! (OWGR #213) in 2nd with [-4] for [-6] (hard to bet a guy who's last name is what Homer Simpson says when he SCREWS UP!!!)

my man Eric Van Rooyen hanging in 3rd with a [-1] for tourney [-5]

ONLY pre-tourney favorite still "in range" 16-1 Joost Luiten [-2] for tourney [-2]

the top two Euro Tour picks "blew up" this week. 12-1 tourney favorite  Paul Dunne 2nd round [+4] for [+5] CUT and 18-1 3rd favorite George Coetzee with [+4] for [+7] CUT. what a difference a week makes. "you can bust me" after their Open de Espana performance of 2nd and 4th

should be an interesting Sunday. weather forecast perfect for scoring with light winds in the morning incrasing to 10 MPH in the afternoon and morning temps mid 50's increasing to high 60's later on. Quiros WON the Rocco Forte Open in Sicily last May [-14] in a playoff over South African Zander Lombard and one shot ahead of my pet ChiCom Haotong Li

Ah SH!T!!! Eric Van Rooyen could NOT make a move Sunday and ended up shooting a one birdie two bogie [+1] for tourney [-5] tied 7th. Frenchman Alex Levy the winner with [-2] for [-8] one shot better than Spaniard Alvaro Quiros

at least I get SOME money back this week with Adrian Otaegui [-3] for tourney [-1] over Aaron Rai [+5] for [+6] my ONLY match play winner this week

all the way to  Beijing, China for the Volvo China Open next week. interesting that THIS weeks winner Alex Levy was the winner THERE last season [-17] in a playoff over Dylan Frittelli
