Talent does come before trends. If you think Rodgers is losing in a dome to a defense as terrible as the saints with the way he's been playing you're crazy. GB is 2nd in the league in INTs and if you've watched their games you'd know their D is much better then they are getting credit for. Rush D is much improved along with QB pressure. The saints already cant run the ball.

You gotta hate money to bet against Rodgers in a dome, against a pathetic saints defense who couldn't stop a mouse, while the packers defense has really kicked it up a notch the last few games.. The packers are the superior team in every aspect of this game this season.
Rodgers > Brees Jordy > Cooks / Stills Cobb > Cooks / Stills Lacy > Any RB on that roster. Packers D > Saints D

Use your football knowledge. A trend like that is such a stretch and rather ridiculous. Your football knowledge should help you make the best educated pick possible. It's about match ups and spreads, not trends. Do your best to pick with your brain and not your heart and you should do okay. Looking at a trend that ridiculous will have you out of money very fast.

didnt he have 7 fumbles alone last year?

I think it favors vikings if ponder actually plays. He has beaten GB before. If hobbled teddy plays. Its a road game, divisional game, in the rain...not a recipe for success.

Rodgers has never won against a mike zimmer defense..hes 0-2. That along with the weather pushing it to possibly a running game makes me thing they might just be evaluating the run defenses which could cause the movement. Not betting against rodgers at home against a rookie qb on the road in the rain though.

A hobbled rookie QB on the road in a divisional game (if he even starts) with 80% chance of rain? The FIRST thing you need to look at is the QB match up. Rodgers caught fire last week and is on a short week. Betting against that isn't a smart move any way you want to justify it.

Saying denver is worse then last year its the most ignorant statement of the century. Not even going to touch that one. Saying Russell Wilson is better then he was last year isn't a huge statement because they could have won the super bowl with anyone and or no one at quarter back during that game.

Spot on with my picks. Glad to be on the same page as you this week.
Madgame: I would imagine the Denver pick as they have definitely upgraded their defense and I'm sure Peyton has had this game circled on his calander for quite some. One would think peyton has to have a chip on his shoulder after the superbowl. After seeing the success san diego had against them, i expect peyton ton to do what they did, but better, just like he does everything else. The game will probably come down to a fieldgoal favoring seattle...lets reference back to this and see how incorrect i probably am lol

SD traveling east for a early game, no ryan matthew, no melvin who is a good pass rusher...buffalo seems to be on their game and crusing. I feel like the -1 is a good bet. can anyone counter or point out anything I might be missing? Thanks!

Pretty sure you are just a homer for the steelers because you're seeing somethings that just aren't there. Carolina's run D will be very tough for Leveon Bell. No one on the steelers is faster then calvin johnson or golden tate. And please don't counter that statement with antonio brown. I expect a better showing from the steelers, yes. But it doesn't matter if cam hasn't played them, he has played much more mobile QBs with better arms then Big Ben has these days. Steelers are old, slow, and can't play very good defense, or offense for that matter these days. That is all justified by the fact that you're trying to upsell the ravens when flacco aka fluke-o (a barely mediocre qb at best) didnt even throw to their biggest threat (torry smith) and let owen daniels score twice on them.

Interesting. Steelers have looked bad all season, they looked especially pathetic against the ravens who have an extremely suspect offense, and you expect them to beat a leagues top defense?

Lions are without DE Greg Hardy and RB DeAngelo Williams. Ribs don't heal in a week. If cam was hurting last week he's hurting this week. Tate opens the field up for Stafford as he has only had calvin to throw to. He may still throw a INT or two, but cam will play like garbage today, and suh will make him pay. Easiest play of the week has to be lions

This is a perfect example of over thinking everything. As soon as the first snap starts of every game, stats are completely irrelevant. Comparing a football team with it's prior records to prior years is not a smart move for many reasons, but the most obvious is how those teams change from season to season.

Jacksonville +205 (Need to see a sign of life from redskins before I can bet on them)
Falcons +5 (Julio Jones vs AJ Green should be fun and close) Green Bay -8 (Rodgers is pissed, and rex ryan acted like they won the super bown when they beat oakland, which should tel you the expectations of this team.) Patriots -3 and also on the under at 49 (I took this before peterson was ruled out, but I have to take an angry tom brady who has the killer instinct it takes to win over the vikings. Lions +3 (no deangelo williams for panthers, cam's first game back and already running his mouth never leads to a lot of success on the field plus adding golden tate really opens the field up for stafford.) Saints -7 (ill be surprised if they dont pull this off since the browns have no cameron or ben tate) 49ers -7 (Cutler had 1TD and 6INT against 49ers in his last 2 games, and he will be down at least one of his WRs tonight)
