I put $600 on Baltimore at 15-1 in Vegas in July... How do I hedge properly?

Very, very true. I can wager on not just the sunday games, but up until than. I will not rush it. If I choose this route I'm oing to do it very slowly, with maybe 2-3 games over the next week and a half that I absolutely love, that way I can do it as SF on the ML. IF not, live betting sounds like the way to go. It's a little risky though, for example, if SF runs back kickoff for a TD, I'm basically screwed.

Would you maybe think of doing a 2-team parlay? Like do you research and find one good play in any other sport and then get that Niners ML along with it and you should get odds of around +285 or thereabouts That's a great idea I haven't thought of. If there was a few college bballs for example, I could pair it up with a few decent favs on the ML. Great idea, and thanks.

The problem is, I'm not sure how to put a photo on here as written before. So as soon as you tell me, I'll get the pic up as a personal favor for you ego.

It was bet at the LVH in Vegas, which accepts wagers on futures up to 2k, and in some cases 5k. Not sure if you've ever wagered that high boostyourego, but I'd understand if you didn't know limits and all that too well.
And for the record, I have $600 on the Bruins in the NHL as well, and had 1k on OKC last year at 6/1. Every year, I pick one team in every sport and make one decent sized futures wager on them so I have a team to cheer for (since my rooting interests all blow, Jets, Mets, Islanders, Knicks)

First off, I don't need to prove anything, if you don't like what I've written, you can leave the thread. With that being said though, I'm quite proud of myself so I wouldn't mind posting it. How do I put a picture on here?
This is second time I've been in this spot. I blew it the last time (had OKC to win NBAC). I had multiple hedging oppurtunites in that one and got greedy and never pulled the trigger.

I like that idea of SF winning the first and second half. A tie at half would kill, but they they also offer tie-SF which should be somehwere in the range of 8-12 to 1. That's not a bad idea.

The bet is $600 to win $9600. I would like the hedge a bit, not fully.
The easist way is the just bet 49's on ML at -170, but I don't know if I like that. I was also thinking about betting 49's with the spread, and than betting the prop that has SF win by 1-4 points to cover those points. Are there any other options available to me? Any recommendations? Thanks.

boo ya. I've never made a wager in my life like this, but I saw this chick playing in the opening rounds and thought she looked so good. I figured she could win this tournament and break out in tennis as a legitimate star.

If OKC wins tonight, what will the series price look like going into game 6?
in NBA Betting
Hahaha me too. I was thinking about it before the start of the series, but after I watched game 1, I had no doubts about the series. In hindsight, a jackass move, since all I had to do was put a couple hundo on it and gurantee a good amount of profit.

-180? Wow I'm surprised, although it definitely could be, I feel like that would be a little high. Assuming it goes to game 6, Miami would be roughly +180 to +200 in each game (ML). With two shots to hit, I would think it would be lower.
+200 = 30 -35%%ish chance to win 30% - 35%ish chance to win X2 I have Miami at -125, with those odds, however, it needs to be factored in the hedging and backers and vegas perception, so I would have it at Miami -140, or -150 TOPS.

I seriously doubt it. The sharps would be all over it, and over the course of time, crush Vegas if they did this on events like this. This is the genuine line, and I see a lot of value in the Thunder.

If OKC wins tonight, it will be interesting.
I bet $500 preseason on the Thunder to win the Championship at 5-1. I'm trying to weigh my options as to hedging, but I don't think there's anything I can do unless they win tonight. If they do, any guessing as to what the series price will be, with two home games for OKC, with them laying about 5 points in each game? My guess is probably Miami -140ish for game 6, and if OKC wins that one, OKC -200 for game 7.

The NBA is having record numbers of viewers for this series, well beyond what they could imagine. They DO NOT want this series to end in 5, and unfortuantely if Miami wins tonight, that may very well happen.
I am not saying the series is fixed for any one team, just saying that I am sure the refs know to keep this a "competitive series." With that being said, the play tonight is OKC ML, and by nature of a lot of fouls being called, OVER as well. If this happens, than Miami ML on game 5 is the next logical step.

I made a $450 wager on OKC prior to the season at 5-1 to win the NBA Championship. I am interesting in hedging slightly, but not the whole way, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it.
At pick em right now, doesn't really feel like too much value. I figure if OKC wins one of the next TWO games, they would be a significant favorite again, allowing me to hedge. If they lose both, than I'm kind of screwed though going into game 5 in Miami with Miami up 3-1. Is there a better way I can do this where I can hedge out, and play individual games or something? I do want more on OKC, but would like to gurantee at least a few hundred profit rather than lose it all. Thanks.
