Hello my Covers friends,
We are starting up a new dynasty baseball league and are a few GM's short. Does anyone from this forum have any interest in joining. The entry fee will be $100 per season. We ONLY want very active/competitive GM's. You must be committed to remain in the league for.....well a long time. The format will be roto. There will be a farm system. Draft most likely standard snake for year one. I can give more information if anyone shows any interest in joining. Let me know boys. Thanks

Love the play "thehuntman" although I would play them in REG and not on the ML.

The Leafs "needed" to win on Tuesday against STL as well, and Sunday against the Devils and Saturday against Montreal. Just because teams "need" to win doesn't mean they win.
The Flyers are trying to catch the Rangers to have home ice in that series. So they "need" to win as well. And here's the thing, they are a MUCH better hockey team than Toronto. They are also coming off back to back losses, so I think you see a focused and determined Flyers team tonight. GL but I like the Flyers in regulation.

Well done Leafs backers!
This fella was off the mark. Toronto, I will make you beat me again Tuesday night in Colorado. (Regulation of course)

Well isn't that what gambling is all about? Attempting to predict the future?
I see you are on the Leafs tonight so you are "assuming" they will continue to play well and win a 5th in a row. I on the other hand, am going the other way....

There is more to an individual sporting event then how hot one team is and how another has not been scoring of late.
Anyone watch the Leafs night in and night out? They are not a very good team. They consistently get outplayed and often outworked. Take a look at their stretch before they rattled off these four straight wins. But for me this game is all about me anticipating a Leaf team coming out flat tonight.

Hmm I am just wondering, did all of my write up not make it to this site, I am assuming the small part where I mentioned three previous meetings is the only part others can read....
And I am well aware of when those three games were played, and if you think a little deeper into it (which I am starting to realize maybe some have issues doing here) there maybe something to this trend.

Thank you for not bringing your bias thoughts into this thread.

Can't understand that logic. Two of those games finished at 6 goals total. That is only covering by .5 goal
The total should not be the focus for this game.

Yotes (REG) +100
The Leafs are coming off a very emotional win Saturday night at home against their hated rivals Montreal. That win gave them four in a row now, as they surge back into a playoff spot. The ACC which is typically a very quiet crowd was anything but on Saturday night, the place was rocking. Now the Leafs are traveling to the desert to play a western conference team, in a building that is almost certain to be quiet, in a game that I don't imagine will have much intensity to it at all. Saturday night was very similar to playoff type hockey, tonight will regress back to your typical regular season game. I do not like this spot for the Leafs. Toronto's last 3 trips to Phoenix have ended in results like this: Lost 5-1 Lost 6-3 Lost 5-1 The Leafs are also 0-5 in their last 5 Monday games. Now, typically I laugh at people that bring up silly stats like that. BUT, maybe there is something to that with this team? The Leafs typically play at home on Saturday's and often those games do involve a lot of intensity and fight to them. So maybe this team is emotionally and physically drained from their Saturday night contests and don't bring enough to the rink come Monday night. (Just something to think about) Yes Phoenix is not playing that well the last month, but tonight it not about them, it's about the effort and energy the Leafs will bring to Glendale tonight, and I say they just won't have it. On a side note, if I am wrong and the Leafs are able to pull out a win tonight, we are lucky enough to have them playing again tomorrow night in Colorado. So do not be afraid to double up on the Av's tomorrow if Phoenix let's us down tonight. GL

Yeah that was some great research. I am trying to dive into the players minds for angle 2. Maybe they become slightly complacent in their second game back home after picking up two points in their initial game back?

Very odd timing for me to post this as I just saw "Vicb" post now. What a bizarre coincidence.....

What do you guys think is tougher on the players?
Last game of a long road trip (I would say at least 4+ games on the road) OR First game home from that long road trip What's the better situation to fade a team on?
