  Full understanding what whip means, and I could be way off base on this but total bases a pitcher gives up

might be a more accurate stat.  A home run counts the same as a walk in whip, but a significant difference

in actual bases given up.

Seattle breaks their playoff drought finally. 90 wins last season and didn't get in, Houston lost to much in last 2 years with players leaving.  Another 90 wins this year will be enough, and once in playoffs it can be any body's opportunity.
