I just wanted another point of reference when I'm capping. I realize I can't use pinnacle.
Before the lockout -0.5 pucklines were common place with -1.5 few and far between. In one of my previous posts I mentioned the pinnacle numbers didn't include shootout information, in hindsight that comment makes no sense because a -0.5 puck line is pointless if there is always a winner. The pinnacle regulation lines are close enough to what I was looking for (reg+ot lines, no SO). Thanks again. |

This helps, doesn't include OT and the SO but close to what I was looking for (thanks MLBguru):

I was hoping to find something without the tie option. Anyone else know of a book?

Does anyone know of a book that still offers -0.5 puck lines? Thanks in advance. |

I'm not sure that I'm sold on the difficulty of the A group.
- South Africa (hosts, we all saw what S. Korea did in 2002) - Mexico (shakey qualifying campaign, thank god for concapoop) - Uraguay (what have you done on the big stage for me lately, I made it through a playoff, once against thanks to concapoop). - France (hand of god 2, not sure we deserve to be here, but group favorites). I think the group is pretty balanced and it's hard to pick the outcome so as a result it looks difficult. The teams in most of the other groups would beat up on group A in a head to head battle of groups... just my opinion. |

There isn't one group that really jumps out at you as a 'Holy Shit!' group.
Group G will be tough, 3 great teams but having North Korea arguably doesn't make it a group of death. Group D looks tough if you consider Australia seriously. Group E , hard to pick the second team out of here. Here's my list in order of toughest to easiest group: G, D, E, H, B, A, F, C |

Looks like a lot of money has come in on Honduras, Canada is now the underdog. Snatch it up!

Miami, Florida International University.
The turf is similar to what Costa Rica plays in at home and the fans will be in their favor.

I don't think Canada will have a tough time, this match will be played very close. |

Should be interesting to see how Hart directs his players tonight. He talks about not playing for a draw but now that they're through it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to go all out and get burned on the counter attack.
Julian De Guzman, Stalteri and Klukowski are all on one yellow, so you can expect that they wont play the whole game (another yellow in this one would eliminate them from the quarters).
The field and the fans will favor Costa Rica, but Canada should give them a tough go and maybe surprise once again.
I say 1-1. I think both teams will play very defensively.

I'm with rf_dawg on this one, this Honduras squad is watered down. Like Coke Zero... no, it doesn't really taste like Coke.
The US 'B' team looked pretty good and the depth of their squad shouldn't be underestimated, it's probably still good enough to qualify for the World Cup (coming out of CONCACAF).
Good luck.

Even if things were even vs Canada, that doesnt say much. Canada is just awful to watch. Oh Canada....
Congrats on your win. You might to take another look at Canada in the future, they look like one of the bests teams in the tournament right now. |

I think Jamaica will be playing with a purpose tonight. I expect a better performance tonight (although in my opinion things were pretty even against Canada). Under different circumstances I'd be all over the Tico's as well. Costa Rica should win tonight. If I was betting on this one I'd lean on the draw. Good luck! |

No injuries that I'm aware of. The Tico's coach gave a less then inspiring speech at the beginning of this tournament about how unimportant this event is for his team. For the Reggae Boyz, this is more important since they've already been eliminated from WCQ and don't really have anything else to play in the near future. |

My guess is that Jamaica is better than most people think and that's where the smart money is going.

That's three wins in a row for Canada now. I like their chances against a shorter and in my opinion overrated El Salvadorian team on Tuesday.
