created a topic 2018-01-07 - NCAA Plays in College Basketball I haven't been on in a while, but trying to get back into some posts. I like to read other opinion and feel its only fair to give mine once an a while. Today I like 2 early plays, but not confident with both being major public favorites. Fairfield @ IONA (-6) I like IONA to cover the spread as they currently hold a 3-0 home record with Fairfield holding a 1-6 road record. IONA's last game was close but they were coming off of 5 road games and getting the first real game flow on their home court since december 12th. Fairfield is coming off getting smashed by Rider which has a similar record to IONA, hoping for history to repeat. NC-W @ Delaware (-3) Second i like Delaware to cover the low spread. Delaware only has a 3-4 home record but NC-W holds a 0-5 road record and a 0-4 neutral record. This bet is more betting against NC-W as they don't travel well at all. I will be wagering 3.3 units per play for a total wager of 6.6 units and a potental of 6.0 units profit. Have a good one and GL. The Devils have had the Flyers number winning 7 of the last 8 in Philly but I am banking on a change tonight with the Flyers having more to fight for then just respect. created a topic April 1st - Plays of the Day in College Basketball This is not a Disney movie and reality is about to come crash down. Gonzaga will be too big and strong for SC to keep pace. SC will be in foul trouble early and this game will get ugly. Wagering 3.30 units on the Zags to cover the 6.5 spread. Oregon has had a good run without their primary weapon but NC is a different type of monster. The only team to keep pace with NC was Kentucky and that was with the Tar Heels missing 8 free throws and going their tourny worst 3/15 from beyond the ark. created a topic March 31st - Plays of the Day in NHL Betting March 29 - St-Louis (regulation) - +2.5 Units March 30 - Boston (-1.5) - +2.5 Units Today I'm jumping on 2 individual plays. First I am taking the underdog, Pittsburgh Penguins (ml) against the New York Ranger. This is a situational play, the penguins are currently on a 4 game losing streak and are currently fighting for home ice advantage in the playoffs. Rangers have also clinched the playoffs (wildcard) and are not in reach of getting home ice but do have the advantage of facing the Atlantic division if they don't jump the Penguins. Just a side note, Pitt has won their last 5 meetings in New York. Basically Pitt is due for a win and is looking or home ice. Rangers are looking to enter the playoffs healthy and are better off planning to play against the Canadians then the Blue Jackets. Wagering 3.00 units on the Pittsburgh Penguins (ml) for a 3.15 profit. My second play is back on the St.Louis Blues. Once again the Blues are still in a fight for their playoff life and tonight get to face off against the last place Avalanche. St.Louis has owned Colorado this season winning 4-2, 3-0 and 5-1. Tonight i don't see anything changing. With the Blues ML sitting at 1.36 and the Blues Regulation sitting at 1.67, to make sure our wager is worth the reward, I am jumping on the -1.5 at 2.15. replied to March 30th - Play of the Day in NHL Betting I agree the lightning have a winning record against the Red Wings, but the only way to make money on this game is betting for Tampa to win in regulation or -1.5. The last 10 games Detroit has won 2 and been within 1 goal of 4 making the regulation play or -1.5 only safe for 4 of 10 (winning in regulation by 1 is a win but is not a safe bet.) I could be completely wrong on this one tonight and have been may time, I just think this is a good game to avoid based on the match-up and frequency these teams play each other. created a topic March 30th - Play of the Day in NHL Betting March 29 - St-Louis (regulation) - +2.5 Units Today I am jumping on another favorite with the Boston Bruins to handle the traveling Dallas Stars at home. Boston is in a fight for their post season life and cannot afford to lose games to teams that have nothing to play for except to see how players are progressing. Tonight Rask has been confirmed with Niemi likely to be between the pipes for the Stars. As these teams don't play often the head to head the match-up is meaningless however the only team the Stars have beaten with any significance as of late is the fading Sharks. So no major upside for Dallas. As there is no use in wagering if the juice is not worth the squeeze I recommend once again wagering at a minimum on Boston in REGULATION. I am personally taking the Bruins tonight at -1.5, wagering 2.00 units for at 4.50 units payout (2.50 units profit). created a topic Plays of the day in College Basketball Creighton is a solid team that can run with most. They are a mid of the pack defense and above average offence. Tonight the 3rd ranked Villanova team is hosting and everyone seems to be ranking slaves for this bet. Villanova will be without Daniel Ochefu tonight and he was the major difference last meeting. I'm not saying Villanova will loose but I do not see them covering a 12 point spread. As well tonight Maryland, who gets no respect, is facing a small cornhuskers team that cannot post big men. Diamond Stone (6-11) and Jake Layman (6-9) will have breakout games tonight. Last big man Nebraska faced (A.J Hammond 7-0) posted 32 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The Raiders have improved immensely this season but the Chiefs at home in the second half of the season have been beasts, and their last 3 games the Chiefs have only given up 30 combined points (3, 14, 13). The Chiefs beat the Raiders on December 6th, in Oakland, 34-20 I am surprised to see the Chiefs as a -7 home favorite with so much on the line.
