Good point i mean i think Hurts should have a good game and keep it fairly close if and only if they can get some sort of run game going which I am confident they will. They have the talent and the defense to make big plays.

Amazing to see the Nats get this close after they lost the last 4 NLDS games since 2012.  Even crazier that the one in 2012 was vs the Cards.

Not to mention Gerrit Cole is 0-2 with a 3.51 ERA in 4 career starts against Tampa Bay. Glasnow beat HOU and Cole lost to TB earlier in the year, this game should be a pick em.

I’m back with my first playoff pick this year. Sorry if I’m wrong but I’m up huge these past two MLB seasons and woke up with a hunch today:

Verlander is off 3 days of rest for the first time on the season. He’s asking for the ball and may be a bit overconfident.

The Rays bullpen is pretty damn rested with Snell and Glasnow available, if need be. These Rays should not be counted out and they have to have Verlander’s number by now. He’s thrown to them 18 innings this year and essentially has cooked TB all year long...  I think TB  ties up the series today. 

Keep in mind it may be a wet one down in TB tonight, not unusual for Florida and the Rays are built for this
