created a topic Final Four in College Basketball *YTD: 25-9* Been away on a meditation retreat, missed the whole 2nd half of the season. Really wanted to keep making picks, but such is the life of a Buddha! Had to chime in with a pick today, kind of like a mindfulness bell. Love the 'Cuse +2. Belein is 0-9 versus Beoheim, granted Michigan is better than any of his WV teams. Burke is a beast, but if 'Cuse can limit the transition, he won't find room in the half court. He is not a pure shoot either. Will come down to Michigan's 3 point shooting, Staukuas could catch fire again. That is NOT going to happen with Carter-Williams and Triche around. Take 'Cuse and be happy. I am leaning towards Wichita, think they will keep the game slow and in the 50's. They should be able to hang around, and I am sick of picking against them. But I could also see Louisville hitting them with 16-3 run in the second half and pull away. I'll stay away from this one for now. Maybe make a pick closer to game time, but doubtful. replied to Meditating on.... in College Basketball Thanks Gillster and Vet! Canisius has outscored teams by 10 in the 1H last 3 games and by 6 at home on the season. Niagara is 8-1 in conference but outside of an early with by 1 against Loyola-Md they have feasted on the bottom of the conference. Canisius is up and down, but I look for them to shoot well and win going away. And most importantly, a Golden Griffin is wayyyy cooler and more legit than a Purple Eagle! As for the USA, nice to have running water, electricity and internet, but missing the friendship, collectiveness and caring of the DR! Good luck all... But I am thinking Minnesota -2.5, South Dakota State +3.5 and Santa Clara -1.5. I don't know if Michigan's performance against Ohio State soured me on them, I really don't like the idea of betting against them, but I think Minny should win at home. Minny has the athletes, home court, tough D and Mbakwe rounding into form... South Dakota State is the best of the Summit in my opinion, Western Illinois has won 11 straight, but they are a paper tiger. What is their best win? The Oakland win? South Dakota State is the better team and should in outright. Santa Clara beat SF by 5 at home. Looking at that box score SF outshot Santa Clara from the field (47-39%, and from 3). Foster went 5-17. Santa Clara was still up 11 at half and coasted to a 5 point victory. Santa Clara won the rebounding battle 42-30, that should travel to SF. Santa Clara has lost to the class of the WCC (outside of the L-M loss which is troubling), and played a tough schedule. Look for Santa Clara to start getting back on track, beginning tonight...
