I'm a Gator fan living in Jacksonville so I really want the Noles to fall flat on their ass...so I am clearly biased. But I think Boise has a coaching edge and the game being at night takes away what could have been a humidity advantage for FSU since their players are more used to it. Anyone have a lean on this game? Also considering Colorado -13.5 & Georgia -21.5 based on recent history and urgency of both teams. |

I want to bet football this year week-to-week, but it doesn't make sense for me to do that offshore where I can't get money for wins quickly. Takes the fun out of it. I'll still bet futures that way but for the week-to-week lines, I want a local. Anyone know a good bookie in Jax/takes business from Jax? |

I bet futures online but for game-to-game bets, since I don't bet those a lot, I don't feel like going through the deposit to hit a game and then withdrawal process (At -110 I've got to be quite a few to make a withdrawal happen that's worth it depending on the book I use).
I'd be much more interested in betting occasional lines week-to-week if I had someone local I could go and collect immediately when I win. Anyone know someone around Jax? Respond or you can private message me. Thanks!

I think there's a good amount of value in fading BG with Akron winning that side of the conference because of the schedules of BG, Ohio, and Akron.
Akron is the only team that doesn't play any of NIU, Ball State, W Michigan, or Toledo. They have to go to BG, but BG has to end their season @ Western Michigan, Toledo, @Ball State. Ohio has to go @Akron and @BG and finishes with Ball State and @NIU. 5Dimes has Akron at a price of +355 to win the division. I don't watch a lot of MACtion but I remember making a similar play at +480 on NIU a few years ago to win the conference and they did it on a game winning field goal lol. I'd like to know from those who watch what you think of this...

I've heard it can get crazy for week 1 of the NFL in Vegas, so I want to experience that to the fullest. I'm not betting huge amounts of money, so I should be able to get action anywhere.
Where are the best books to actually enjoy the games?

In Sportsbook's "games of the year" you can find this line.
There's no way the line would be that small on Stanford, would it?

For whatever reason they have gone rogue with some of the NFL lines. For instance, it's well known the Pats game should be -4.5, yet the Sportsbook line continues to go in the opposite direction at -6.
If I'm not getting authentic odds, might be time to pack up and switch shop. What other US books are solid for low stakes with good payout methods?

I've had a much harder time this year finding such info, so if we all pooled it in a thread for each game, that'd be awesome.
As for the game tonight, seems like the Browns are going to play their starters a lot longer than the Packers, which is why the line jumped back to GB -3... Would be nice to have concrete info on some of these games, as betting the 1st half could be profitable with some of these matchups...

I've got a history of picking horses to win the Kentucky Derby, who don't win and then come back and win the Belmont. This year it was Dullahan, and he's in top form right now with that ridiculous 4f workout the other day.
Only way he loses this is if he strays too far from the lead. If he settles mid-pack, he'll win.

Bradley is a solid fighter, but let's be realistic. Unless he DOMINATES Pacman, he's not winning a decision. Even if he deserves it, there's just too much at stake for Vegas and the MGM Grand in particular, who is the most likely venue for the superfight at the moment.
Marquez CLEARLY won 6 rounds against Pacman and the one judge had it 116-112 Pacquiao. He walked in with that card filled out. Listening to Teddy Atlas break down this fight yesterday, he likes Pacman to KO Bradley as he sees where Bradley likes to position himself helping Pacquiao land his hook. Also, I'm pretty sure Bradley will not just try to survive. He has too much pride to pull a Clottey. So to me the way to play this fight is this: whoever you think wins, bet the stoppage. That's where there's value.

Wondering what you guys think on some of these stakes races. Here's my thoughts:
Alsheba Stakes To me this is a weird race since the 3-1 & 9-2 morning line horses have serious ? marks with the layoffs. I'm also fading Macho b/c of the short price, but think overall the race seems to set up well for him. I've got Nate's Mineshaft on top. Love the #3 & #10 for the exotics. American Turf Stakes Definitely a betting race with the two best horses in the #13 & #14 holes. The #14 doesn't like the outside at all. I think Gung Ho could be in line for a big race here, as the horse has improved steadily over his career. Also, Star Channel could take this despite the big step up. I like his style in this race and he clearly has the potential for big time speed on the grass. I'll put them on top of #10 and #13 & #14 since they're too good to completely throw out. Might also throw a little on Scatman as a long-shot based on that 101 beyer and the Turf rating suggesting he might factor. Hate the recent decline though. Oaks Win bet already locked in on Summer Applause. Think the filly has major ability and the race sets up well for her. To me it's between her and On Fire Baby. I don't get the fascination with Grace Hall. To be able to lock-in 15-1 on her in the Sportsbook b/c of the morning line is absolutely ridiculous value. Can't find any free DRF PPs for the Edgewood. If someone has a link to it, that'd be great.

In agreement in favor of Gemologist. If Bode isn't the real deal (quite frankly looking at the form, if he is the real deal we're getting our first Triple Crown winner in my lifetime), Gemologist is the horse I'd trust the most to run the triple beyer speed figure needed to win this race.
Dullahan is interesting too. Hard to tell if he'll take to the surface but he ran the perfect KD race in his last start and will likely get the setup he needs to close strong here...

This would help. Would rather save the money to play on the horses instead of buying programs (plus this gives me something to do at work tomorrow...break down the 2 days)
Already found PPs for the Oaks & Derby but can't find anything DRF related online for the rest of the card on those days.

As a Jets fan, I must admit this is a FANTASTIC signing!
Tebow can funnel his spiritual powers to have Rex see the error of his foot fetish ways Oh wait the Jets are saying this was actually a football move...nevermind |
