First of all, peavy is no Lester. Lester isn't going to walk three in one inning and surrender a 5 spot. I would agree they will probably feel pretty good about themselves offensively. But if your expecting the same results against Lester, you are out of your mind

I don't know what your saying? Do you know what a let down is? It is what a team has after a big win. Following up a big win with another big win is tough to do. |

Who cares about a score prediction? I am simply making a prediction of how the game will go, I could care less if I predict the score correctly. |

BOS at DET Coming off of Wednesday's 7-3 win, Detroit should be due for a let down here in game 5. They were able to get to Peavy early on thanks to 3 walks in an inning and a costly miscue by Pedroia. Well, that and the fact that Peavy is terrible. It will be a completely different story Thursday against Lackey. Lackey has been nothing short of amazing this postseason. He has posted a 1.93 ERA and a .93 whip in 14 innings thus far. He should be able to keep Detroit's hitters off balance enough to get the win. On the other side, Anibal Sanchez will get the start for the Tigers. He pitched incredible in his first outing of the series, going 6 no hit innings with 12 K's. However, I would not expect the same result this next time out. Boston hitters seem to be figuring it out, and it is only a matter of time before they explode. Also, lets not overlook the fact that Sanchez failed to even make it 5 innings against Oakland, giving up 5 runs in the effort and drawing the loss. All considered, Boston should be able to get the win here in game 5. Prediction: Bos, 5 at Detroit, 3 |

WahooS, I don't see the score getting any higher than that. If I miss my prediction I think it's going to be because I predicted it to high. Would not be stunned to see a 35-10 type score. However, I figured I would throw in a couple meaningless 4th quarter touchdowns.

MIA at UNC(9.5)(64) Matchup: Somethings got to give. Are you telling me I can get the #10 ranked team in the nation, against a mediocre 1-4 North Carolina team, at a spread of -9.5? Yes, Please. It almost seems to good to be true. North Carolina has been completely awful this year. Their only win is against a subpar Middle Tennessee team. Also on the year they have gotten beat by East Carolina by 24 at home, surrendering 55 points. How is that suppose to matchup with a Miami team that has been nothing short of great this season? Al Golden has done a wonderful job as coach of this team. Stephen Morris is an above average college quarterback, and Duke Johnson just might be the best running back in the ACC. Not to mention their defense ranks 9th in the nation in points against. I do not see this game being close. I would imagine Miami will come out ready to play and will take care of business early on. PLAY MIAMI. Prediction: Miami, 42 at North Carolina, 21 |

SEA at ARI(6.5)(40) *3-ARI *0-Under
Matchup: Seattle will be up for a difficult challenge thursday night when they will have to O/U: While every matchup points towards a low scoring affair, something is telling me that under is a risky pick. Over is 8-1 in the last 9 Prediction: Seattle, 17 at Arizona, 20 |
