Kent State won the regular season MAC title meaning they earned a postseason bid. Does that mean that they are gauranteed an NIT berth and have to win the Conference Tournament to make the big dance?

My buddy says they are already in the big dance. I feel that he is wrong and that Kent State has to win the MAC tourny to make the NCAA tournament.

So is kent already in the big dance or not???
