I do like it but hate the 31 degrees and snow flakes. Still think it can go over though. I'm doing it. Also like the rockies.

I rarely wager on the puck line but I just see this one with tremendous value tonight. The Wings will be playing with major desperation tonight as they're fighting for the last playoff spot while the Preds have trouble scoring a single goal nowadays. Extremely weak offensively. I can see a 4 -1 Wings win.
Thoughts?

Hey everyone,
Not sure if any of you remember the totals system I developed towards the later part of last season. The results were pretty good so I'm back at it this year. All plays are 1 Unit unless otherwise specified. Record: 0-0-0 Pittsburgh Pirates vs Arizona Diamondbacks - Under 9 (1 Unit)

I got 300 on the Under. I've had a totals system for many years that always seems to do well. This game fell right into the Unders angle I have which is 12-4 this bowl season.

OKLAHOMA +3.5 I think in the end, Oklahoma's passing game will be the difference. I really don't think A&M's defense will be able to stop Oklahoma's passing attack all night long. |

First of all, I'm pretty disappointed with my flawed analysis of last night's game. I'm sure I had some decent points but I think it was Badlands who said it best, "If you don't have the horses to stop it, you're not gonna stop it". He was right. Oregon rolled. I'm just glad the Under came through.
But tonight is a new night and let me tell you, it's time to cash in. Big play tonight, lets take a look. You have two of the most prolific offenses in all of college football going head to head tonight. Texas A&M has a very nice, balanced offensive attack led by the Heisman trophy winner this year. A&M is ranked 13th in rushing offense and is going up against Oklahoma's 80th ranked rushing D. A&M's passing O is ranked 13th going against Oklahoma's 26th passing D. But we're talking about Johnny Manziel here. The kid is going to have success. Oklahoma on the other hand has an average running game but a superior passing game. You know what A&M's defensive weakness is? Pass D, ranked 80th in the nation. These two teams have a combined total average yards of 1825. That's pretty high. They both play at a very quick pace on offense. Out of all the Bowl games, these two teams have the highest combined season average of passing attempts, 82 to be exact. But here's the thing, these two teams have a combined season average of rushing attempts of 75. That's high too. That tells me this game will be played at a very fast pace, vs some average defenses. Look out. Max Unit Play, one of my top Bowl picks. OVER 72.5 As always, BOL on all of your wagers. |

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl pick (more confident than Louisville's play)
in College Football
I definitely feel like I have a clearer view of how this game is going to play out than last night's game. Here's how I look at it.
Without question Oeegon's offense is lethal, especially their running attack. But exactly how lethal is it. They've had success running the ball against Arizona's 107th ranked rushing defense, WSU's 65th, Washington's 66, AZ State's 74, USC's 58. They faced Stanford's 3rd ranked rushing D and lost 17-14. Sure, they crushed Oregon State's 27th ranked rushing D but OSU also had 4 turnovers. Kansas State ranks 2nd in the nation in turnovers lost. Big difference there. Oregon has a Strength of Schedule rating of 39 vs KSU's healthy 14. Coupled with that SOS margin, KSU has the nation's 17th best rushing defense. Bottom line is Oregon has been running all over soft rushing defenses but when it came to a real defense in Stanford's, they didn't do so much. Unfortunately for Oregon, their greatest offensive strength plays right into the hands of KSU's greatest defensive strength, rushing defense. Oregon is averaging 53 rushing attempts per game and 29 passing attempts per game. No secret they will primarily be running again tonight. But they won't find it easy to do so. I look for KSU to have better success on both sides if the ball this evening and even possibly coming away with the win outright. KANSAS STATE +8 UNDER 74 As always, best of luck on all of your wagers. |
