replied to Call me crazy in MLB Betting It is not always about what I expect the outcome to be as much as the value of the line. I bet my parlay at +600 not because I think my parlay will hit, but rather because I think it will win better than 1 out of 6 times making it a good value. I have been pretty successful betting baseball at +15.01 units for the season not because I am always betting on teams I expect to win, but rather on lines with strong value (at least values in my opinion). created a topic Call me crazy in MLB Betting I am parlaying the Mariners with Beavan on the mound with under 8.5 at +600 odds. Yes it may seem crazy, but here is my logic. First off the Mariners are going to win a game eventually (maybe?). Next the Red Sox have never seen Beavan before and both the Yankees and Red Sox have historically had issues when facing young pitchers for the first time. And my final point is the reason for the parlay, the Mariners don't hit anyone and they are only winning this game if Beavan pitches well (I am thinking something along the lines of a 3-2 win). In fact the Mariners last win where there was over 8.5 runs scored came on June 12. I don't expect the Mariners to win, but this is more of a gut feeling and I think +600 is a pretty decent value. created a topic Fridays picks in MLB Betting For the year I am 16-13 +4.9 units (just started about ten days ago) For tonight Pirates -104 I am going to keep riding the Pirates until they get some respect or start losing Cardinals/Reds over 8.5 I am expecting Cueto to come back to earth in the second half, he is going to allow baserunners at a higher rate in the second half if his K-rate doesn't improve Braves -1.5 +120 Hudson has been steady the Nats are not a good road team. Marlins -102 Marlins have been one of baseball's hottest teams over the past couple weeks playing the cubs who have been one of the coldest teams Phillies -110 I just think the Phillies are a much better team than the Mets, who I think will struggle in the second half and end up getting rid of more of thier higher priced players. created a topic Here comes a big day in MLB Betting This is day four of baseball betting for me and the results have been pretty neutral so far I am 7-7-1 for +0.63 Units. So far for today Braves(Beachy)/Phillies(Halladay) Under 7 (2 Units) 7 for this game just seems like a half run too high, Beachy has been unreal since his return from the DL and combine that with the fact that the Phillies offense doesn't score much off any pitcher and Halladay is on the other side, I feel pretty confident about the under in this one. Dodgers(Billingsley) -120 (1 Unit) Simply put Billingsley and Latos are totally different pitchers Home/Away. All-Star quality pitchers at home and below average on the road.
