Is this college basketball season going to be like the college football season where some schools and conferences allow fans and others dont? |

Line just went from ND-2 to Pickem in about 5 minutes. I thought the 3 players were still out for GT and I was leaning ND. Now I feel like I HAVE to take GT |

Hope everyone is enjoying this early baseball season....
I have been using this site, https://dailybaseballdata.com/cgi-bin/weather.pl for a while now. It provides great updates on the weather at each stadium, as well as Batter vs Pitcher stats for the day. I noticed that today all around the league, the wind is GUSTING. Looks like 20 mph winds blowing out in Atlanta, New York, Pittsburgh, and almost 30 mph blowing out in Detroit. Might look into the overs in these games since pop flys might turn into dingers.... Cheers |

I agree. I looked back over the past couple years of average/solid teams beating the number 1 ranked team. Almost always do they come out flat/ lose the next game |

Honestly just bored and feel like watching some live college bball after watching a lot on TV this past week.
Frank Martin graduated from FIU but I don't think that will have any effect on the game. FIU lost by 16 @ USC last year but it should be a very different game..Although USC didnt play Thornwell, Dozier went off. Also FIU doesnt return any starters from last year and are projected last in their conference. SC had trouble in the first game of their tournament against Illinois State which completely rattled them with their aggressive zone D. FIU has beaten 2 division 2 teams. And lost their other 3 games,2 in OT to Stetson, Elon, & Milwaukee. Looks like FIU has an atrocious offense which usually doesn't fare well against the fighting Frank Martin's.....Leaning South Carolina-17 and Under 135 |

Marshall f'ed me so many times last year on the road. They look like world beaters at home but they seem to play matador defense on the road. They can light it up however

I think seton hall dominates this game, esp cially in the paint. Indiana might get some support just from their name but this is not the same indiana team of the last decade. IU has a young, unproven shooters, and really only have one post player in Deron Davis. SH starts 4 seniors that straight up do WORK in the post. I think this is a game where if it was played in the middle of the season, seton hall would be favored by 20+. This is archie millers first season at IU and it will take some time for him to get the right guys for his style. Oh also indiana lost their home opener 90-69 against Indiana St.
SETON HALL-13 |

Take a look at Rutgers-12...I know they werent that convincing in their last home win against CCSU but Cleveland State is atrocious offensively. They were awful last year and will be very bad this year. Rutgers returns a couple guys that can put up points and they were battle tested in some big ten games last year.

Krajinovic +185 vs Sock-225
Should be a great match. Filip showed that he's no joke and should be here to stay after beating Isner in 3 sets. He handled Isner's serve about as good as you can, even though Big John had like 30 aces. I think he moves really well, has a solid defense, and picks his spots when to attack offensively. Sock easily handled Benneteau and as he said himself he is "playing with house money" since being down 1-5 in the third set against Edmund in the 1st round. He also said he had no idea that if he won this tournament he would move on to London, until very recently. This seems like a tough match to predict because we will have 2 very confident, in form, and motivated players. Fatigue doesn't seem to be a factor for both of the finalists. I will probably decide who I'm gonna side with about 15 minutes prior to the match but I am leaning slightly with the Serb because of the odds. Input gladly welcome :) |

Wasnt able to watch the matches live today but just saw the highlights and here's what I'm thinking...
Sock-150 vs Benneteau....I think the frenchman's miracle run comes to an end here. The crowd will be behind him probably 95% but I think the one factor that will put Sock over the top is his angles and his topspin. Sure Benneteau just beat Goffin and Cilic but both of them are pretty flat hitters and gives JB a lot of time to return. He played amazing defense against Cilic but I don't think he will be able to keep that up against Sock. I'm still not sure about the Krajinovic-Isner match. I am leaning Isner just because he is serving out of his mind, and I don't know if Kraj will be able to keep up with Big John's serves. However I do love Filip's energy and if you aren't familiar with him, he is 40-7 in his last 47 matches (Most of them Challengers but still very nice). If anyone has any insight please share! |

I can definitely see 2 or 3 dogs moving on today and heres why....
Nadal vs Krajinovic- Rafa has not been his normal self this week. He hasnt been serving that well and isnt as sharp as he was a month ago. Krajinovic on the other hand, is having the run of his career. 18-1 in his last 19 matches and even though the competition hasnt always been the greatest, that is still very impressive. I can see him eeking out a set just like Cuevas yesterday. Im putting my money on the serb!
Isner-Del Potro- Delpo is in great form right now as is Isner. The argentine hasnt shown any signs of letting up but ill take the +200 for big John. Match will probably go to a tiebreak or two and John is coming off a huge win against Dimitrov. Also made it far in Paris last year Benneteau-Cilic- Very similar to Nadal, Cilic hasnt been at his best on serve this week. Can the frenchman continue the miracle run in front of his home fans??
Sock-Verdasco- Toss up for me here. The spaniard is playjng well right now but Sock has a lot of momemtum after coming back from 1-5 down in the 3rd against Edmund and then cruising past Puoille. Leaning towards Sock
GL to all! |

One of the biggest factors in tennis is momemtum and Verdasco has been in great form recently. Thiem on the other hand has looked very fatigued in almost every match that I have watched him in since clay court season. I like verdasco to ride the hot streak from his very emotional match against Kevin Anderson today and pull out the upset Thiem has also already qualified for London which might influence his motivation.
Verdasco +140 |

I have always wondered what would happen in this David vs Goliath matchup...
Statistically we have the best returner on tour, vs the best server on tour. And just in case you have been sleeping under a rock, Isner is 6'10'' and Schwartzman is 5'7"!!!!! I have always rooted for Diego because of his size but I am not sure about this match up. He has been playing extremely well in the last couple months while Isner has been strictly mediocre following grass court season. Does anyone have any thoughts on this match? Isner made it to the finals of Paris last year and apparently the courts are even quicker, which works in his advantage GL to all |

EaglesPhan, I have to say your writeups/previews are fantastic. Very well written and thought out. I am fairly new to betting tennis (within the last year) but i have really gotten into it and have looked forward to your writeups for the last couple of months. Good luck on the US Open, and I hope we can enjoy some great tennis!
