Well, not plenty of batting but Pathan and Voges - only one needs a half century from here

Raja 2/60 after 7 overs paying 2.15, despite the dew, yes please. Still plenty of batting to come and imo 160+ should be enough. |

BTW, no Marsh or Lee by my records

I'll admit, I've wagered on over 30 IPL matches over the last couple of seasons. What have I learnt? 2 things: (a) it is a game based on form (your lineup can have the NZ T20 lineup listed by Rostos but if a few key batsmen are not in form you're in trouble) and (b) it's an absolute coin toss. I think we should start keeping theoretical numbers on playing the dog in every match, cause capping this stuff is impossible. In-game betting or nothing for me as of last night - only way to do it.

Shows how out of touch I am, Jesse Ryder would have been one of my first picks

Finally, Carseldine gone for 75. 5 wickets left with over an hour until tea. Hopes hasn't come to the crease, his wicket will be key.

And the second wicket falls, 2 for 45. Plenty of overs left and whilst Qld bat deep these early wickets wil put the outright in the mind of the Vics - go lads, another wicket in the first session.

McGain strikes early as predicted, need 9 wickets in a days play for the Bushrangers win - largely depends on the removal of Carseldine cheaply and the Bulls attitude - do they play like men and bat aggressively or do they bat out for a draw. Interesting days play ahead. |

Good point Bi, I was meaning to check in to see prices last night but had no chance. They could well shut things down, but we're are in with a chance if they do declare at anytime today as the Bulls will play shots on the 5th day wicket - White's intentions do appear clear though

End of day 2 and the Bulls are 6 for 199. Vics in a strong position and the prices reflect it: Vics 1.70 / Draw 4.00 / Bulls 4.25. Last chance to get the Vics at value in my opinion, they look set for a first innings lead (even if minimal) and can then set a difficult target to chase on the final days. GL |

The Bulls have let it slip.. Some great seam bowling in the opening session and a half saw them take a commanding position with the Vics at 6 for 65. However, a lower order fight back (and a pitch that lost its life) saw the locals finish the day at 9 for 286. Dissapointing that the Bulls couldn't kill them off, but the great seam bowling has set up a result - something which sets up good value for us. In what I see as a 2 horse race we have odds of 2.10 (Vics) and 2.70 (Bulls) (the final is played over 5 days rather than 4, weather outlook promising). Yes the Bulls are slightly on top. However, in a final, runs on the board count and the Bulls batting has been shakey of late. The pitch should still offer a decent amount for the seamers and there is turn. The Vics may not have Nannes, but they have an experienced arm in Wright, 3 test bowlers in Pattinson, McDonald and McGain, and Hastings. In my opinion this should be enough to ensure that the Bulls do not surmount a large enough first innings lead to take the match. From there, the Vics show a little more patience in their second innings (surely the top order can't fail again) and then turn to McGain et al to rip through the Bulls from the second half of the 4th day onwards. Bushrangers ML |

GL Bolar, that price on Gayle over Chanderpaul is shocking - up around 1.87 at C'Plod. |
