Glad I didn’t take anything to heavy today other than the runner as it just looks disgusting across the board. Twente/Besiktas - Didn’t expect a goalless 1H but glad I ended up doubling down on Midtjy/Fenerbahce (unfortunately took Porto smh). That being said, I’m on Besiktas TT over 0.5 (-123) and over 1.5 (+414) at halftime. This game has to open up more with both sides being currently out and I think Ole will somehow get the job done as he did when during his early days with ManU. Besiktas just has too much attacking quality to be shutout in a do or die game. |

Going lighter today than yesterday as Europa is harder to cap than CL. Don’t think we’ll see as many goals and books seem to agree as I’m seeing more 2.75 totals than yesterday. More teams are in the running to grab bye and playoff spots but don’t think it’ll be as hectic as yesterday across the board. Also looked at the props market but nobody I like that really sticks out so think I’ll stick the usual total plays. Twente/Besiktas - Ole’s side is one of four teams being chased down by the hosts for the last spot so I’m assuming this will be pretty open as the Dutch side need a win at minimum. Besiktas’ attack looked a lot more like what we expected at the beginning of the season in Ole’s first game in charge last week putting up 4 in a dominant display against Bilbao. Besiktas hasn’t performed well in European competitions on the road this season (draw against Lugano 3-3, lost to Ajax 0-4, won 1-0 against Lyon, and lost 2-1 to Bodo/Glimt), and I have a feeling they’re not all that particularly excited to be playing colder conditions than they usually are after a long travel. Twente has persistently punched above its’ weight all season so I’m expecting them to at least get a result here (remember they drew against ManU at Old Trafford, drew against Fenerbahce, drew against Olympiacos in Greece) but it’s surprising to see them favored to win today. Not touching the spread but I think we should see goals at both ends today with both teams basically in a knockout match. Midtjylland/Fenerbahce - Took the runner here at over 3 (+118), over 4 (+330), and 6 goals or more (+1000). This could easily blow up in my face but Fenerbahce is clinging to one of the last spots and Midtjy is just a point above so there’s potential here for this to become a shootout if one of the sides below overtakes either of them. With this being a game featuring Mou on a knockout type stage, I’m just expecting drama and Fenerbahce has shown a propensity for having games become batsh*t crazy. We’ll see. Games I also like to see 1H goals are Roma/Frankfurt and Tel Aviv/Porto (probably this one more). Sorry about the late post. Good luck to you all |

@Brooklyncapper lol thanks Sterling had a last minute PK saved so I thought I was going to miss but barely came through
Any profitable day is great but definitely feeling a bit unlucky w/ the Zagreb/Milan runner not cashing a ladder as I honestly felt Milan's speed could've net them 3-4 goals alone. It is what it is. Looking forward to plays tomorrow. |

@WILLY_THA_LURCH Thank you friend! @EzzClap Man those goals came waaay too early @handycat Will do! I'll have to watch closely as I already am on a good number of bets already! What a 1H. Glad I didn't touch that City game live but 0 (!) shots for Haaland? You can bet the pressure will mount on Brugge here so hoping Haaland can hit the targets we need. Glad Hader at least hit his to break even w/ one more needed for a solid payout. And that red in Zagreb may have killed our over here smh. We'll see.

@ironpat Hey ironpat. Yes I just saw that which is a complete bummer. That’s ok. Unfortunately I don’t have a substitute I would take in that game as there’s just too many mouths to feed. Sporting CP/Bologna - Just found some value here. With nothing to play for, Bologna is sending out their B squad. Sporting is being chased down by City so they need a result here at home and I expect them to come out strong at home after the dud they put up last week in Germany. Gyokeres started on the bench in that game as well as the game prior to that, which was weird because he eventually came on later in both games (injury or possible transfer?) but today he’s completely ruled out. I really like Conrad Hader today as he should get close to a full game run without another proven striker available to replace him in a very important game. At just 19-yo, the kid’s been very eager to prove he’s a capable successor to Gyokeres as in the Rio Ave game, he shot 8 times with 5 hitting the target. Bologna is no Rio Ave but again this is a back up squad and there’s too much value on Hader’s 2+ SOG (+100) and 3+ SOG (+400). I am going slightly smaller as I took the kid last week and he only ended up with 1 SOG before he made way for Gyokeres at halftime but at home in a must win game, I like the odds. Lot of games I’ll be eyeing for 1H overs and runners including Dinamo/AC Milan, Leverkusen/Sparta, Salzburg/Atletico Madrid, and Villa/Celtic. Don’t know how I feel about City/Brugge as I wrote above but would be a strong play IF the chances keep coming City’s way.

Bayern Munich/Slovan - Last time I checked the total was sitting at 5.75, the highest total I think I’ve seen in CL ever and probably rightly so (see Bayern’s 9-2 massacre of Dinamo on Matchday 1). Bayern’s a completely different animal at home and w/ them chasing down a bye spot against the worst side in CL, this will get ugly quickly. While I lean the over, it’s just too high for my risk acceptance. Instead I’m looking at Musiala’s 2+ SOG (+100) and 3+ SOG (+400). The kid averages 3.3 shots and 1.7 SOG in this competition, and in a game where I expect Bayern to shoot 30+ times I think the value is there, especially when I expect him to get onto the scoresheet. Dinamo/AC Milan - When I took the +900 bet to see at least 9 goals in one of the 10 games picked by Bovada, my eyes were drawn to this one immediately. Think this game will be one of the wildest games today, if not the most wild. Dinamo need a win AND goals and AC Milan needs a result minimum to keep their bye spot. Dinamo hasn’t impressed me too much domestically but their CL games this season and in the past have seen goals, and I’m expecting multiple goals on both ends today. AC Milan’s defense is a sieve (see 3-2 win at Slovan on Matchday 5), which is why they absolutely need that front of Morata, Pulisic, Leao, and Reijinders clicking at all times. That speed on the outer edges will hurt Dinamo who will need to open up quickly if they want any shot of reaching the knockouts. On the over 3.25 (-110), over 4.5 (+260), and 6+ goals exactly (+575) (Bovada won’t go higher than over 4.5 so needed to take exact goals at 6 and over). That’s it for me. Wishing everyone a successful day today. |

@JJWoods @Cmlee123 @monkeebooger Thanks. I do agree that Brugge will park the bus here but I’m worried about the possibility of the early goal. Pep’s MO has always been getting that early goal, and I don’t think he’ll mess around here searching for that goal to get on the front foot today. And if that first goal comes I think this game will open up very quick. Either that or Brugge holds until 80th min and City barely escape lol |

Haven't been this excited for a sports day in a while. UEFA really hit it out of the park w/ this new format and think we'll see an unprecedented amount of goals tomorrow as teams chase coveted bye and playoff spots. Pool and Barca have already earned the byes while teams won't be able to close the GD of Arsenal and Inter. At the bottom of the draw, City and Dinamo are on the outside looking but w/ 19-24 still catchable, I feel like caution will be thrown to the wind. GD matters and that's why I took on Bovada the special of 41+ goals total (+1000) in the following matches: Villa/Celtic, Barca/Atalanta, Brest/Madrid, Dinamo/AC Milan, Dortmund/Shakhtar, Girona/Arsenal, Juventus/Benfica, City/Brugge, Stuttgart/PSG, and Lille/Feyenoord as well as 9+ goals in at least 1 of the games (+900). It sounds like a lot, but outside of the Girona/Arsenal match (which I think will still see 2-3 goals), the inevitable shuffling in the standings, particularly at the bottom, is going to be an emotional rollercoaster w/ goals and cards likely to follow. Remember that moving on in CL brings a huge financial bonus to these teams and missing out would be financial devastation to teams who were expecting to go through like PSG and City. City/Brugge - Gotta start here right? I believe Pep's teams have always made through into the knockouts, which is remarkable considering he started his first team managerial career in 2008. If the pressure of keeping that record intact wasn't enough, Pep also has the financial implications of not making it to the next round hanging over his head. Normally, I wouldn't think twice of backing City in this situation at this stage of the tournament but we're not dealing w/ the City of old. W/ Walker's recent exit, I struggle to find the Agueros, Kompanys, and (old) Gundogans that City could lean upon in years past to help them ease through. De Bruyne? Age and injuries seem to have caught up. Foden? Inconsistent and has gone missing for chunks of this season. Rodri? Injured. City HAMMERED this Brugge side back in '21 4-1 and 5-1 but I don't see that happening. Outside of City's own issues, this Brugge side is disciplined and tough to break down and has shown some impressive results in CL this season including wins over Villa and Sporting. Had it not been for a late meltdown against Dortmund of all teams on Matchday 1, they would probably be through. Still think City will create chances and tomorrow will come down to the stars. Pep's been more active in getting Haaland involved and I expect him to deliver as the shots will be there. Haaland 5+ shots (+109), 6+ shots (+195), 3+ SOG (+200), 4+ SOG (+500) are my plays. Look at Haaland's stats against teams not from the top 5 leagues (Sparta Praha, Sporting CP, Feyenoord). He'll play the whole 90 unless the game turns into a blowout, which I don't think it will. Be back in the morning after mulling over more games. |
