Quote Originally Posted by Urbanwildlife: Indiana -10 vs FIU (Florida International University) One of the best plays on the board that has not been mentioned. Indiana is going to be very explosive on offense this year with an experienced offensive line, along with some great running backs and receivers. They got the QB transfer from Arizona, Dawkins, who is good passer, and is more than capable of putting up big numbers with the running backs and receivers that he has at his disposal, and with an offensive line that will provide him with enough protection. The offense also is loaded with experience, as most of their starters from last year on returning. The key to this game is if the FIU defense which has a number of new starters, and had problems getting any type of pass rush last year can find a way to get to Dawkins, and it is going to be highly unlikely, as they just do not have the caliber of players on their roster who can pressure the Quarterback and raise chaos for the offensive lineman. It would not be surprising to me to see Indiana win this by 20. Peyton Ramsey has already been named the starter at QB, which is probably better for you. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dawkins get a tiny bit of playing time at some point in the 1st half to see how he settles in. IU's defense is extremely inexperienced, and they're plugging in youth all over the offense in the skill positions. Not to mention, returning starting running back Morgan Ellison is suspended indefinitely, so he is most likely to miss the game as well. I still like the Hooisers to win despite all this, as Tom Allen now has another year under his belt with this group, but I'm not confident they cover 10 or 11. Good luck, Urban!

Fairly light card this week. Possibly the least intriguing line of games so far this year as we look towards rivalry week and conference title games. Good luck to the forum today! Michigan +7.5 Navy / Notre Dame Under 59.5 Minnesota +6.5 Mercer +49.5 Texas Tech team total over 23 Wyoming +3 Florida -10 (-120) Nebraska / Penn State Under 58.5 ______________________________ Good luck this week, make some cash. |

Creating a thread in case any locals have any contributions. Several games either in domes or in warm climates where there is no precipitation forecasted, but it never hurts to consider. Chicago and Buffalo are the main places to consider today... |

Regardless of the spread, Clemson needed to put those style points up on the board. At this point in the season, every bit of perception counts. Playoff implications. Blew the comfortable lead, let them within 3 - they absolutely needed to win this by as much as possible.
Fact of the matter is, it also had gambling implications.

The top 4 teams have played each other this weekend, and one of the games isn't over.

Wisconsin looking to put up those style points I've been preaching on.
Clemson can't come close to doing so even against a ravaged FSU team on their home field. Georgia looking like they're certain to drop this one by double digits. ______________________ Massive implications on tonight's ND/Miami and TCU/Oklahoma games. Great day of football and we've got tons of top 10 action left. |

Despite Mizzou's defense, their QB Drew Lock is possibly the best true gunslinger in college football, regardless of the program or system. Sadly, most CFB fans have never seen him in action because of the lack of primetime attention they've gotten the last two seasons. The kid is absolutely unreal and fires it like a cannon.
Good luck to you, I can't blame you on the play. |

You gotta think, as it stands right now, IU doesn't have a super talented roster, just lost two guys to the NBA ranks, and are learning to transition from an uptempo run-and-gun offense to a ball screen heavy set motion. No excuses on that loss at all, but it's going to take a little while to find themselves. Keep in mind they've been widely projected to finish 12th of 14 in the BIG this year. Early season litmus test will be at a ranked Seton Hall on Wednesday. Good luck to you this week!

60-39 YTD
Been a good season so far. Some great matchups today. Here's what I've got on tap: Illinois +10 (-120) Texas Tech team total over 40 Iowa State +7.5 Va Tech / GA Tech Under 49.5 Maryland +17 Wisconsin team total Over 28 Clemson -16.5 Purdue +6 Oklahoma -6 Colorado State +6.5 USC team total Under 40 _________________________________________ Not much success on Hoosier games this season so far which is unusual for me. Have a feeling they disappoint in these final 3 cupcake games and fail to become bowl eligible. Look out for the top 6-7 teams to continue to look for opportunities to put up "style points" to help the perception of their performance on paper. Still undecided on the Alabama game, but will definitely have a play on it. Gut says roll with the tide, but mind is telling me the Bulldogs will be up for this and their defense will be tough for Bama to overcome. As always, good luck to the forum today. Make some cash. |

Couple bad breaks, but still scraped by at 6-4 on the week.
60-39 YTD. Back at it in a day or two. Crazy developments over the weekend - looking forward to next weekend's action.

The real world got in the way this week and didn't have much of a chance to post plays.
Will post what I've got for the rest of the day in a minute, but for now I've had a 4-team ML parlay in since Thursday: Wisconsin/TCU/Tennessee/Notre Dame - pays 1: 1.4 More to come in a few... Hope everyone is off to a fast start today. |

Haven't had a chance to sit down and focus on posting plays, but I've been looking at the whole board. Hope to get some plays posted soon, but until then, a little Wednesday night action with some rain.

Everyone, I mean everyone is on Va Tech for good reason if you have watched Miami at all. All good reasons to play Miami. Notre Dame is 7-1 ATS and home playing Wake, plus a media favorite, fantastic reasons to play Wake large. That is just the start of a huge week for all the books! I’ve only seen 1 other week this year with so many obvious plays and it was a great day for Vegas! Can’t wait! IU will have problems with Wisconsin's offensive line, and it should open up the UW run game massively. Even as IU's defense has appeared much improved, I wouldn't be surprised if the Badgers ran for 400 yards on them. Line has jumped to 13 last I saw. The Hoosiers have flirted with upsets against all the big dogs in the conference over the last handful of years, but Wisconsin is that exception. Of course, I'd be thrilled to see an upset, but with Wisconsin wayyy outside looking in on the initial CFP rankings, they will be eager to throw up some style points for the committee. Agree on Miami. They're awful. Truly one of the most overrated teams I've seen in recent years. I expect them to show their true colors soon. As with Wake, I am not sold on them at all. As with Wisconsin, ND will look to tack on as many "style points" as possible, because I don't think Brian Kelly is comfortable quite yet sitting at #3. 14 is a tough number, however, as it always leaves that backdoor possibility open late in the game. Good luck this week. |
