People want to talk about Kentucky not being tested ?
Take a look at St Mary's, and Gonzaga. Those resume's are pathetic. No clue how they were able to hold the ranks they did this year. Outside of each other neither have a single quality win. |

You are right about being a salesman and recruiter for sure. I just think he doesn't get the credit he deserves for being a good coach as well. I think it's overlooked because of his ability to get talent. I'm by no means saying he's the best at coaching.......just think he is very good and better then people think.
I agree Cal is a solid coach on the floor, and actually much better than Bill Self as another poster suggested. |

Terrible coaching at the end for Ill St, and luckily they made it into OT. Like most of you I am glad the Jays pulled it out though. Undeserving teams sneaking in probably the part about the tourney I like the least. Seems like it is the MVC always somehow sneaks their teams in too... somehow....someway...

Hey its 10 bucks so if you are talking about it you might as well do it already, because you won't be able to forgive yourself if they did somehow make it and you decided to save 10 bucks, lol.

Pitt has to play
St Johns... In the Garden Gtown Cincy then most likely Syracuse Not a chance in hell if you ask me, but they still have to play the games. It is a shame too, because before the season I thought Gibbs was going to be one of the premier players in the COUNTRY. Then Woodall went down, and the rest of the team never came together and rest is history. Very unfortunate senior year for him kinda sad. |

A game where they actually played much better than they did the next game at home, and that is probably because the cuse came with a better mentality. They did get a beautiful path last year getting favorable matchups in pretty much every game. Funny story we were all set to fade them big time after the BE tourney performance knowing they would be overvalued, and when the bracket came out I don't think we went against them once. They actually ended up being our best team out there, and earned us some nice Kobe beef down the way at craftsteak. Having said that this team has NO Kemba Walker. Not even close. Everyone expected Lamb to be that go to guy, but that hasn't even come close to happening. Drummund is a beast, but just too raw and with Drummond in the game Orieki is out of position. I think I actually wrote something about that on here a while ago. I really think that is where Uconn's problems stem from. Orieki/Drummond combo just has not come together. Napier/Boatwright have both stepped up though, and Calhoun will be back so there is still hope. Will just have to see if they can get something rolling. |

Looking in the A10 I think St Joes is a possible sleeper, and holds some good value here @ +1200 to win the A10. Well worth a little 50-100$ stab in my opinion. Playing some of their best ball down the stretch, and looking at the bracket really not bad even though no roll overs. #1 vs Charlotte #2 vs St Bonnies - Revenge game after just losing to them by a bucket or so on the road off that temple win #3 vs Temple who they already beat once, and are already locked into the tourney. |

The luck of the draw means everything here.I also saw someone mentioned Marquette and they are dangerous also. But a real sleeper? a long shot would be a team like UCLA or Notre Dame. Funny you mention UCLA. Not really sure they make it in, but those boys have made DRASTIC improvements since early on. Hell even over the last month or so.. Just so impressed with what I have seen from them lately, and the win over Washington was pretty impressive even though it wasn't one of the Huskies better showings. That game really pissed me off holding a Wash future from very early. Luckily the Cardinal came through for me. Now I am babbling... Like how you mentioned the Bruin though |

Syracuse would have the better matchup against the cats not the other way around. As far as winning it all or sleepers I think it is just a question better asked after the brackets are out. I will try to return back on selection Sunday, but I will be bust packing. Right back in Vegas again, and can't wait. No better time than March madness, and I need the away time bad cramped in here 24/7 crunching games, and a couple deaths in the family. Has been a rough month to say the least. GL to all during the madness! P.S. For those newer to the game don't forget that even though it is the end of this season another will be here before you know it. Do not go out of your comfort zone, and bet the games as you would any others. |

This is not the same type of Syracuse team you can expect to just blow games though. Specially with a team like Providence against that Syracuse zone defense. We took Cuse to cover, and the UNDER for a reason. It was clear the Friars would struggle mightily to put the ball in the basket. Normally you are able to count on Jim Boeheim to totally screw up games, but this bench is so deep there isn't a coach in the world who could mess it up. Just talking some hoops though, and I see a possible GEM you may like soon here Train.
Will see what you think when time is right. Good luck. |
