Hoo - you're SO right about dogs being better than most people. I'm with you 110% on that. Very much grieved to hear your best friend passed. I hope you had another dog in the house already, but if not, get one ASAP. It really does help. Draw on the memories and the time you had with your dog. |

@LonghornHoosier Ultimately, my take was accurate on all 4. USC covered 14 which I did not bet, but if you did then you got there. If you bet that card as is, you went 2-2. |

Transitive property isn't a basis for betting ... however ... does the following matter to anyone betting on the Sam Houston/La Tech game? Sam Houston @ UTEP - Final score was 41-21 Bearkats La Tech vs UTEP - Final score was 14-10 Bulldogs
Also, Sam Houston's starting QB is back and healthy AND they are playing at home. |

Is playing. Is 100%. I expect Sam to play well tonight at home. |

@Boa33 ooooh idk about that ... TCU has had our number for a bit. Since the epic 61-58 game in 2014, TCU has won 8 of the last 9 including the last 4 in a row. Baylor's only win in that span was in Fort Worth. I like how Baylor is playing lately and there's some momentum. But, this is a rivalrly game and TCU won last week too. The frogs have seemed to want it more in this matchup for more than a few years. For Baylor to win (and cover) this team has to bow up. |

So let's just all be real for a minute. Jackson is not better than Rourke. But, he IS a redshirt sophomore who was recruited by Tennessee and transferred to Indiana before last season and started 5 games for the Hoosiers. He's got some experience and talent. He also came in and played well last week against Nebraska and led 4 TD drives in that blowout. On the flip side, the average starting field position for those drives was the Husker 43 yard line. So, while he did execute and go 7-8 for 91 yards and TDs -- he also had the benefit of a lead and short fields. Jackson has talent but has been inconsistent and at times been loose with the ball on his throws. Saturday against Washington is a chance for him to show how far he's come since last year. Ultimately, the 6.5 point line is based on Jackson playing QB. If Rourke was healthy, the Hoosiers would have been double digit favorites, maybe even 2 TDs. Indiana's been rolling all season so far. If this game was on the road, I think it would be a prime spot for Washington to get the upset. In Bloomington, I don't see it. I've already taken Indiana -6.5. |

@LonghornHoosier Alright ... well I like one of your schools and dislike the other ... so I'll give you my thoughts. KSU is a tough, disciplined team but the performance at BYU gives me pause about them playing at Kansas. Total rivalry game here. KU looked much better last week after their bye. KSU certainly "can" cover 9.5 but I'd be concerned about them doing it on the road in a rivalry game. If they get a bad break, turnover, unfortunate call and start to spiral like they did in Provo, they could lose SU. I haven't looked at the total, but I could see the under being a safer play. WSU covering 2 TDs against SDSU is an ok play but I think there are much better ones on the board. Cougars are inconsistent imo. I took Indiana to cover 6.5 as well. If Rourke was healthy they'd cover 2 TDs against Washington. Without him, maybe they don't cover. But, IU has been killing kids all season and Cignetti is a savage. I think they'll get this done. I'm riding with them. Southern Cal is another team I just don't have alot of confidence in as to what they will do from week to week. But, after last week, same is true for Rutgers. UCLA beat their ass in NJ. Trojans probably cover 14. Just not a bet I'd make bc I think there are more predictable teams on the board. |

Just talked to someone with ties to the Sam program and he said Watson is out. So I don't know. We'll see. |

Inside info ... Watson is not playing tonite and Sam Houston's best WR is a game time decision also. Do with that as you will. |

The Texas-Georgia game comes down to whether we see the Dawgs that housed Clemson or the team we've seen wearing red and black since then. That uncertainty makes it a no bet game for me. I'm hoping for the former just so that it's an epic game Saturday night. I'd rather just watch it with no care of the outcome.

@arubadk I'd suggest caution on going too far on "A&M looks different" just yet. Missouri was a questionable top 10 team to begin with. Mizzou prepared for Reed at QB and got a fresh and sharp Weigman. Totally different styles of QB play and offensive play calling. Add in first actual road game plus a fragile QB in a very hostile environment who ran his mouth during the week. The entire set up was bad for the Tigers and the Aggies jumped them. Kudos to them for doing it. Good win. But let's just not go crowning them just yet. A&M had looked really lackluster prior to that game for most of the season. With Weigman back and A&M off this week and then getting Miss State they've got a few weeks here to get the hype train rolling. We'll find out alot about where Elko really has this program on the 26th when LSU comes to CStat.

@AceGambler332 So, Troy may stay within the number tonight ... but let's not get silly here. Arizona State is 3-1 and Sam Houston State is 4-1. Yes, Texas State could have won both of those games and if they had they'd be 4-0. But, they didn't get it done and are 2-2 going on the road to face a 1-4 Troy team down to its 3rd string QB. Texas State was one of the preseason favorites to win their conference and their HC GJ Kinne is widely rumored to be a top tier coaching candidate come this offseason. Another way to look at tonight's game is that the Bobcats might be happy for a short week and ready to take their frustration out on Troy. We'll see. |

So ... full disclosure I live in Waco and am a Baylor alum. Last 2 weeks have been pretty rough for the Bears. General feeling here is that our team hasn't played a full 4 quarters of good football yet and there are questions about whether they can. They either start slow or finish horribly. Or just play in neutral for long stretches. I tend to think 2 TDs is way too many points to lay with ISU. The Cyclones are not explosive offensively and Baylor will score some and the defense will get some stops/turnovers. At this point though I won't bet Baylor games. Just don't feel like there's much predictability you can rely on. Or maybe I'm just too close to it. |
