replied to 5Dimes Bitcoin Services in MLB Betting bitcoin is likely forking into 2 separate chains on 8/1. almost any company that uses bitcoin is halting bitcoin transactions for a few hours around 8/1 to protect user's coins & make sure nothing is lost due to an errant transaction recorded to the wrong block. nothing to worry about, 5d is doing this to protect you, and once transactions are back up, bitcoin will be as reliable as ever, though possibly less valuable depending on how the fork plays out.
