@rangersmets Ha. I just said almost the same thing. I was probably typing it the same time you were. |

@Klaister1 The NIT said we would love to have you in our tournament and Pitino said no we are to good for your tournament so I say screw him. I could understand last year North Carolina not wanting to play in it when you are a preseason number 1 team and had the season they had, but St. John's isn't North Carolina. Just play in the NIT. They probably would have been a 1 seed and get some home games and bring in some more money for the program and some nationally televised games and try to win it. Plus I think it would look good for them if next year they are in the same spot. |

@buffer If you are shocked the NCAA plays politics you must have just been born yesterday. It didn't just start recently. It's always been that way. I think St. John's should have just said screw the NCAA and go play in the NIT. The NIT is its own organization separate from the NCAA. A lot of people don't know this, but the NIT tournament is older than the NCAA tournament. |

It's too bad some of these teams think they are to good for the NIT. I am seeing some good basketball. Much better than these crap first four games. I would much rather still be playing basketball in the NIT than sitting at home being a crybaby that you weren't picked to play in the NCAA. |

The announcers after they score one basket are like don't look now its just an 18 point game as if Virginia's is going to double their points in the next 10 minutes. |

I am taking Colorado State +2 second half. I don't see Virginia making any kind of a comeback here. Maybe I am wrong, but we'll find out. |

I think the real issue is their were just way to many bad inconsistent teams this season
in College Basketball I agree. Pitino comes off as an arrogant bitter old man. He thinks St. John's is too good for the NIT. They are a good team, but every year there are good teams that you could make an argument for that should have got in. You would think he would have figured that out by now. Now his players season is over and they can't try to compete in the NIT because of his arrogance and bitterness. He should have just stayed retired. |

@legwand I meant post season tournament experience, but you know what I meant. |

I think it's lame to say you are too good to play in the NIT. Every year there are teams that are on the bubble that get left out of the tournament. That's life. The NIT has a lot of great teams in it. Just show how good you are and go try and win the NIT and get the post tournament experience and try again next year to make the NCAA. |

@Justasquirrel It happens all the time if a team keeps fouling when they have no chance to win which is what they were doing. |

@bullshark Big deal. He had a last dunk to end the season. Just take the loss like men. That was pathetic. |
