You have to really love it, which you obviously do. I've been on this site (and its predecessor wagerline.com) a long time so I know you will get sick of posting here when enough haters come out, hope you stick around though, as I said before, I like reading your posts and occasionally throwing a few bucks here and there on them. I read the other forums here (NFL, MLB, etc), they all make picks to feed egos, it doesn't seem you're like that, you're just sharing thoughts. So give broker9 a winner tomorrow at Monmouth or Saratoga and shut him up (just kidding)......... howzuck: It is gentlemen such as yourself that keep it worthwhile. He can get a winner...just download Slew's file (FOR FREE) and learn how to use it!!! Cheers...and thanks! - Slew |

howzuck: " I should point out that I teach SAT math and a CPA"...then you realize the need for effort and work in everything you want to do that will have any value in the end. My problem with broker9's statement is that it suggests that somehow it is my responsibility to provide him...or anyone else...with winning picks. That is pure fantasy.
It is my responsibility to provide ME with winning picks. And that is where it ends. What i do is give to you the result of 9 years of hard work in Slew, and I believe that is more than enough...because I don't have to do that. As you know, my site is EXPLICIT. The horses listed are not picks. I say that over and over because I mean it. No more are they picks than the top speed fig in any race is a pick. And of course most of the horses are losers...most are! In a 10 horse field...how many lose? In a 5 horse field, how many lose? The problem is that saying that reveals no understanding of what the information represents, and If you don't want to put in the work, don't look at me to help. You got the wrong guy...I assure you. The information is not for someone who wants a tout sheet. And never will be. That is the reason that I have chosen to post only the Key Horses here. Those are horses that I pick by "hand" if you will. And just to be clear about it, I too am a working stiff and after coming home (after an 11 hour day) and having dinner with my wife, I start to get Slew together for the next day and were it just for me, it would take me 20 minutes. But for you, it takes me sometimes 2 hours...which is why the write-ups are sometimes so lean...or non-existent. Bottom line...I don't have to post here or anywhere at all for that matter and most likely won't do it for much longer. I lost the bet that anyone at all would be interested in Slew and it is coming on 3 years that I have done this Slew thing for the rest of the world. Several thousand people have used my stuff, some making a boxcar full of money...and I think that is terrific. I love it. And like any good business model, I do have a perfect plan to phase out the public Slew which I will start...most likely next year. For now, whoever finds it helpful, you are welcome to it. But it just isn't for the casual player...I know that. Nothing I can do about it either. Good to hear from you, and watch for the Madam at Saratoga today. 2nd off the layoff and might be ready. I'll be there to see her in person...I owe her a big kiss on the lips for what she did for me last year! That's the best I can do. My crystal ball is broken! :-) Cheers to you...Slew |

But that is most likely because you have not made the effort to learn how Slew works. As for posting here, there is absolutely no reason for me to post anything here at all, as everythng you need is always on the website for anyone to access. Further, the results are also posted daily and are retained for another 10 days. That way you can access the results and begin to see how Slew works. Or not. I really don't care either way. You are welcome to address any questions to me here or via email from the site, and I will try to answer them as best I can. - Slew |

Hello All! I'm not sure I believe I am posting for the first day of
August already...but I guess it is true. Making my way up to the Spa
for the big weekend and looking forward to all that the best place on
earth has to offer. In the meantime, here are the tracks and races for
Thursday, 8/1:
Arlington - 1,9 Del Mar - 2,4,5,6,7,8 Saratoga - 1,3,5,6,7,8,9,11 Not a bad day today if you paid attention to the duplicate entries at Saratoga and Del Mar. Those are the horses that are represented more than once in any given race listing. Karakorum Elektra paid $25.40 in the 4th at the Spa and Hotradamus paid 12.80 in Del Mar's 6th. And in the next at Del Mar, if you had faith in Slew's long shots, top horse Passing Game paid cool $74.20 to win and $365.60 with Hotradamus in the double. And if that wasn't enough, Hobnobsnob just won for Slew's top spot in the 4th at Woodbine for another nice payoff of $21.30. If you are downloading Slew's file...you got yours. Just in time for the Spa this weekend. We do have a Key Horse running on Thursday: Colizeo - SAR ( 7) CD 11/22/12 # 4 Rudy Rodriguez is looking to jump start his Adirondack summer by dropping the 6 year old Distorted Humor horse Colizeo into claiming company after 6 Optional Claiming starts and a Grade 3 run. Tagged at 3-1 by Eric Donovan and ridden by Cornelio Velasquez, he will try to beat 8 other entries in the one mile turf contest. His last win was at Aqueduct on 2/10/2013 in an AlwOC contest on the inner dirt track. Notable as well are multiple double entries both at Del Mar and Saratoga, so grab the file off the website and see if there are any horses that fit into your plans. Enjoy the Thursday racing...good luck and good 'capping |

Actually do not bet sports. Just TB racing and occasionally Wall Street. :-) But thanks anyway! - Slew |

I pick these horses based on the quality they exhibit during fast races so usually they are not going to be long prices. When they are: give 'em a shot. Hope you tailed for a few bucks on this one. - Slew |

OK, so 10 horses in a 15K claiming race and a vulnerable fav. So which if the nine won't crap out or count the house or forget to run? Try a different strategy. I pointed out yesterday's Eddie Read. perfect example. Here we had a favorite that wasn't considered vulnerable. And 3 horses on Slew's list that were fast but were not going to beat the fav. Underneath for $100+ every time in my book. Try finding a the winner...one that you believe in. Then if there are horses on Slew's list that are a bit of a price but ran in fast races...especially if they are rising in class...put them underneath your 'winner'. You will be rooting for them NOT to win. If your guy wins, you will get paid handsomely for picking the second place horse. Key horse Salisita won yesterday at the Spa. in race 3. If you used her over the top 2 or 3 horses listed by Slew for that race, you got another $100+ exacta. Try it. No bet or very small $2 bets. Take your time and change the way you think about the favorite. There is nothing more satisfying than watching the chalk eaters get $5.60 for backing their runner, while you get a bucket full of $$$ for backing him or her with a solid long shot underneath. That is the strength of Slew. I suggest you review the results pages each day to get an idea of how it works. And check out yesterday's Monmouth park race 11. When you see something like that...at good odds...it's a go. Most importantly, learn with small money. You will be surprised what you can do. Much easier than the MARKET!!! - Slew |

Maybe one day I'll give you a few stock tips, horse racing and the stock market have a lot more in common than you may think.... howzuck: Hey there. The site should be easy to navigate. Hell, if you can navigate Wall Street.....what gives you a problem? As for the stock market, I think horses are SAFER! Too much smart money and smart software rigging the market. I stay away except for one stock. Bought AMD (been in and out for years) high 2's and waiting long for 6 or 7. Other than that...I'll stick to the equine commodity... GL - Slew |

Johnny: Good morning. That stuff is no never-mind to me. Kindergarten crap. As long as they don't waste my time and continue to delete the posts, we're OK. Anyway, I was hoping you would clear that name up for me. Thank you!!! I'll be working today and won't have a chance to check the weather. So I'm just laying down the wager blind and hoping for the best. And yes...I do remember the 'drills' getting under the desk to shield ourselves from a nuclear attack. Hey...in those days...the desks were STURDY! Not like today...
Enjoy the Queens Plate day and GL! - Slew |
