Finally we get some NFL back. Even though it's just pre-season. I gotta go with houston on this one, they had 2 QB's fighting for the job against a carolina QB who doesn't have a job unless newton gets injured.

Hi does anyone know how to find out who is classed as the home team in bowls? I just bet on wake forest @ temple however wake forest is the bottom team so doesn't that classify them at home and it being temple @ wake forest?

I gotta say. I support the patriots, have done since the early 00s. I rarely ever bet against them. The opening line had patriots @ +2.5 which has now gone into PK. So obviously they are being backed hard.

Personally I can't see brissett having a stellar performance. Houston doesn't have a good record against the patriots (1-6 SU) (0-3 at pats). Houston beat KC, not just beat them but there defence was solid by containing KC. Not just against KC but also chicago. Last week vs miami patriots played really well and would have scored 50+ if garoppolo didn't get injured and once he did, patriots only 7 points and nearly threw it all away.

Before I started writing this, I thought houston would win this game but while writing this. I've changed my mind. Patriots just have to much firepower. Their record against houston is second to none. Their rush/pass offense is far superior to the texans.The fact that garoppolo might play as a backup QB to brissett and even edelman being prepped. Will gronk play? You can't ignore that patriots have plans up their sleeves. No doubt that houson could very well win this, and i'll slap myself in the face for changing my mind at the last minute. If anything is going to win this for houston, it's their D but I believe patriots will grind out this win esp playing at home where it's always been hard for any team to beat them. My wonder is, looking at the stats that houson currently has for their first 2 games, did they just play teams with crap offenses and it's actually made them look better than they actually are? Time will tell. This year seems to be the year for rookie QBs, so lets see.

Hi. I've started off pretty well week 1 of the NFL. Hopefully I can end it on a high note and go 12-2.

My selections tonight;

The line at my book has the steelers/redskins game at 1.5. I remember seeing redskins as high as +3 two days ago. I guess they must be getting backed at my bookie. One thing I won't do, and that's back washington. I just won't. Not at +1.5 anyway. Maybe at +7.5 for this match. Mainly the reason being they are just inconsistent. they have always burned me hard. All hype and nothing else. The only good thing about this team is that RGB is finally gone. He was way over-rated and producted pretty much nothing in my eyes. Cousins seems like a average QB, he is very prone to making mistakes and I can see him throwing an interception tonight and being very erratic when pressured. It's unfortunate that this game isn't being played on sunday cause I would have probably passed on it. That being said, I really can't see the steelers losing. I know the steelers are missing a few players but what they have left, should be able to easily brush aside this washington team. I like the fact the public is also on the redskins winning, I guess one of us will be right by the end of the night.

The MNF game will be rams v SF. There's not much I can say about this game, SF are awful and the rams are on the up.

Pretty decent day today, went 7-2 and overall 9-2. Onto SNF

There's no way I can ignore the huge odds of patriots, not only cause I support them. No brady, no gronk. A couple of the O line missing but generally most the players are there. Garoppolo vs palmer? Palmer whos form faded really hard halfway last season and is on the down curve vs probably the future QB of the patriots once brady leaves? Seems pretty simple to me.
