i like schvchenko here too. im actually a little worried bc shes russian and think theres a chance she throws the fight (anybody a tennis fan who has followed dolgopolov and earlier davydenko?). If its a straight match i really like schevchenko. I got a prop at like +500 for a tko. I really think if it goes past 3 theres no way schevckenko doesnt finish her. Just hope it isnt a sub.

This PED usage in a sport such as mma is a serious issue. I guess you could say the same for football, but the objective of mma is to destroy your opponent, literally kill him before the ref steps in. Jones deserves his due process here but guys going in there risking their lives against other guys doing these things should be entitled to legal action.

I have been betting fights a good long while and am certainly not betting on Jones just because I think "he will win". I'm well aware of what -250 means in terms of percentages and all that. I do respect the opinions of those who disagree with me here 100%. Hell, I could be wrong. Other than the $ I will be wagering I hope I am. There are a lot of reasons out there like ring rust, roids, pressure, and this and that but what is Daniel actually going to be able to do to Jon during the fight. Jon is much longer than Daniel so Cormier only has one way to win and that is to do exactly what he tried to do last time which is grind him up against the fence. Why would anyone think he would be be able to do this more successfully some 2 odd years later at 38 years old? It's good to have some healthy difference of opinion here, that is what this forum is for. I will still be betting on Jon and if he loses hell good for Cormier, Jones probably does need his behind beat from a life-lesson perspective. Either way good luck everyone and I can't wait for the fight.

Can anyone here give a good argument as to why Cormier will come out victorious this time around against Jones. I'm from Louisiana and I really like Cormier and do want him to beat Jon, teach him a lesson, blah, blah, blah, but I just don't see it happening. Jon pretty much won every round last fight and I just don't see with Cormier getting older and Jon entering his athletic prime Cormier winning any way other than a fluke. I am going to lay the juice on Jon and I don't see him having much problem winning this fight.

I agree that the odds on Chris are good here. I have long been a pr+oponent of Gastelum, but Chris is the bigger and stronger man here. Not long ago, Gastelum was saying he did not want to go up to 85 because he did not think he could beat guys like Weidman and Rockhold. I also agree that 5 rounds favors Gastelum. The fight could end up looking like the Tim Kennedy fight where Chris ragdolls him around before gassing out and getting finished. I just think around +140 or so there's a pretty decent chance he gets control on the ground and either pounds him out or submits him early. The props on early finish by Weidman or late finish by Kelvin will be worth alook.

Bobby Green over Rashid Magomedov Bobby has some good wins and if he comes in in shape, he should not be this much of a dog to Magomedov. Rashid ended up Ko'ing that big Brazilian in the waning moments of an even fight and overcame a gassed Tony Martin, but I just don't see that many quality wins. Magomedov is tougher (probably mentally as well), but athetically, Bobby Green is a serious challenge. I'm going to try to reduce my wagers this year and obviously took a loss on Weidman last week, but I'm going to fire here. I just don't follow the undercard guys as much anymore. Whittaker has some formidable standup, but if his fight with Jacare hits the deck, I don't see it lasting more than 30 seconds. Might bet a lower amount on Jacare. Good luck everyone.

I think that Weidman at E is a really good bet. This fight will end up on the ground and Weidman will be on top. He is stronger and a better wrestler than Mousasi. He will search for a takedown and will eventually get it. Weidman's standup is serviceable for sure. They both fought Machida when Machida was pretty much in is prime and Chris won the fight on the feet and Mousasi lost. The only way I see Mousasi winning is by catching Weidman similar to the way he lost to Yoel.

I agree with the original poster here. +160 looks pretty good. Tony has a great sprawl and may stay upright where his skills are definitely superior. If Khabib gets him down another story. I guess I can say I've never seen anybody get up.

Souza ITD at -240 seems pretty juicy. How will Boestsch make it to the finish line here.

2016 final totals = -8051 Strong start, brutal finish to the year. On 207 the picks were terrible. Every pick lost soundly except for Magny who won controversially. I don't have much to say except that I have pretty much lost all confidence that I can handicap MMA. I won't be quitting but we'll see how much I post next year. Truthfully, I had winning years in the past so hopefully this was an anomoly and I can get back on track. BOL everyone for 2017! |
