Member What Happened When the Broncos Were Missing their Head Coach on a Short Week? I MEEEEMBEERRR!
in NFL Betting
Loved this spot for Minnesota tonight especially after seeing Smith/Munnerlyn/Kendricks/Newman all practice yesterday but then the news on Zimmer broke...
Doubtful vegas will move a line because of a head coach, but especially for a team that will rely on disguising defenses to trip up this potent Cowboys offense, this is a MAJOR blow. Just ask Denver how that went on a short week just a few weeks back.... Zimmer might be the best defensive minded coach in the NFL, and with this Minny D at nearly full strength I thought they would have a shot at taking down Dallas but without their sideline signal caller I am expecting some blown coverages and more simplistic packages. Triple DDD should be able to take advantage of this and coast to a double digit win. Boys -3 has to be the play here.

No matter how I break this game down in my head I do not see how the Raiders don't cover this game. Sure I get that it's a square play and 75% of the public is on the Raiders but i'm tempted to roll big with the public here.
Brock Assweiler couldn't even hit the century mark againt the JAGS! This entire Texans offense is a disaster right now and I don't see them getting it together vs this Raiders defense. This defense has been quietly molding into form as the season progresses despite what story the averages tell. This Raiders defense also boasts one of the best turnover margins in the league. The Raiders have been road warriors this year while the Texans are the exact opposite. Houston has been nothing short of pathetic in road games this year. Advantage Oakland. AJ Boyue, one of the only bright spots on this Texan team this year will likely be back come Monday night but is coming off of an injury and will not be 100%. Would love to hear an angle from anyone backing the Texans Raiders 34 Texans 9 |

Looks like the injury pile up was too much for Miami to keep Dalton in check... Tanehill might also be a bottom 5 NFL starter right now and will be planning on fading him a lot in the near future

Is anyone else baffled by this spread? Fins coming off an OT win at home against the worst team in the NFL that they probably didn't even deserve and now have to travel to Cinci on a short week to play a pissed Bengals team coming off a loss at home. Cinci and the fans will be fired up to get a win in the jungle to atone for the Broncos loss.
Based on pure value, is Miami really only 3.5 points worse than the Broncos. If it was Miami and Denver on a neutral site everyone and their mothers would be on Denver, and I think rightfully so. Oh and the Bengals get back one of the best Linebackers in the NFL and may even have Eifert back at least on a snap count. This game has 37-9 written all over it. What is the case to take the points with Miami here? |

Gonzaga has the perfect personel to match up against this cuse zone... I understand that this isn't your average 2-3 zone and cuse forwards play further out and are more aggressive but dosen't everyone remember how to beat the 2-3?!
Zags have the length to see over the 2-3 for starters as one of the largest teams still remaining in the field. Throw one of their bigs right around the free throw line (the soft spot of that zone) and any entry pass to that big man creates an immediate open three ball which Zaga has been shooting as well as anyone right now. They will be able to get the ball into the high post which will then create a nightmare scenario for this defense which should immediately breakdown. They have players that can score all over the floor and definitely have enough bigs also to play behind the back line of this Syracuse zone. The orange are going to have to shoot absolute lights out to compete in this one and I just don't see it. Zaga has had nearly a week to prepare for this game and run through all the tape of teams who have broken down this defense all season long. Catching Zaga on only one day of preparation may have posed a bigger challenge but these guys will come out prepared for this zone especially with Sabonis, a future first rounder, leading the squad. Gimme the Zags -5 for 1k & Zags ML for another 1k plz and ty

Bubba's $$$$ Thread FRIDAY - Post Your BEST Play (With Writeup) - 03.11.16
in College Basketball
Gonna start this new thread off with some Valspar action...
$$$$$$$$$ Stenson > Spieth; 2R -110 $$$$$$$$$$$ So it's plain and simple that Jordan is not himself right now and he is in a mentally tough place after the pga swing to Florida. He's leaving himself difficult puts and to add on to that he isn't hitting the easy putts he usually makes. After dissapointing opening round 76 I don't see Jordan getting his act together out of thin air. With the Masters approaching quickly I think he's going to chalk up this tourney as a loss and get back on the range and practice greens to make sure his game is peaking at the right time. Although Stenson wasn't lights out in the first round he showed that he could make some birdies on a course that was playing extremely difficult. He is the stokes gained tee to green GOD and that's exactly what you want when you have long iron approach shots into the green. I think you are getting a great price on Henrik just because he is paired up against Spieth who's value is going to be naturally inflated. I believe Henrik is going to be sharp tomorrow and get into the top 10 heading into the weekend. It's never comforting betting against the golden child himself but I love the price and spot for Henrik in this one.

@GatorBear if you parlay Marquette ML, Gtown ML & Colorado St ML that's an even money play right there at least!! I think there's a ton of value in being able to pick 3 MLs to parlay together

Holmey's $$$$ Thread THURSDAY - Post Your BEST Play (With Writeup) - 02.25.16
in College Basketball $$$ 1-1 Not sure why I decided to play hoops last night since Golf
is my bread and butter…. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Luke
Donald > Jimmy Walker – 1st Round (-102) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
The tour finally makes its way to Jupiter Florida for the
east coast swing (my favorite part of the season) which means one main thing. BAD NEWS FOR JIMMY WALKER! Jimbo
loves his time out west with notable successes at the Sony Open, Hyundai,
Farmers, Pebble & Northern Trust. Over the past 5 years he has had a top 10
in at least 3 of the 5 out of those courses. I’m not sure what he eats on his
flight over to the east coast but whatever it is, is bad for his game. Walker
is uncharacteristically poor in Florida, especially at PGA National. It usually
is not until Texas where he gets his game together. To further add flames to
the fire Walker shot 72-71 to miss the cut last week at the Northern Trust, a
course he usually is able to find success. The confluence of his worse than
usual form and poor play in Florida make Jimmy a nice fade today. On the other
side my man Luke Donald loves Jupiter and the results show it. Four top 10s in
his last four trips to PGA National including a runner-up. Despite his
lackluster start to the year what a better time to get things rolling than at
his best course on the tour. Another key advantage I like is Luke Donald’s 12th
ranked scrambling stat vs. Jimmy Walkers 50th rank. On a course
where the Bear Trap (16,17,18) can make or break a round, being able to
scramble in the words of Donald Trump is “YUUUUUUGE”. Getting out of the bear trap at even par is extremely important so being able to scramble well should help Luke do that. Donald also greatly
outranks Walker in proximity rank which is important on this course as well.
Expecting Luke to go for five straight top 10s at PGA National and will start
that off with a nice first round to put him in place to make that happen.
Should be a great tourney!! |

Holmey's $$$$ Thread WEDNESDAY - Post Your BEST Play (With Writeup) - 02.24.16
in College Basketball $$$$ 1-0 Tonight the dubbs roll into sunny south florida for a date with one of the hottest teams in the league after the break in the Miami Heat (no pun intended). The Warriors have been on an ATS cold streak as of lately but a lot of those losses with the exception of the Portland game last week came at the end of the game. The dubbs have the number one winning margin in both the first quarter and first half this season while Miami ranks a medicore 16th in both of those categories. Miami is also a very slow paced team ranking 29th in pace of play and is coming off an OT game last night in a battle against the Pacers. The heat aren't built to keep up with the fast pace offense of the Warriors especially off an OT win on a b2b. I'd rather not take the chance of a lazy backdoor cover or a second half Warrior let-down like the past few games. Looking for the Warriors to come out hot against this slow place tired Heat squad and take an early lead. |

in College Basketball Hey @Bubbaski I know you're a golf guy too so any feedback on this play would be great. Also.... any other Northern Trust plays you like today either inside or outside of the juice limit on this thread? First time poster here! Just so everyone knows Golf is my
go-to sport to bet on. Don’t know much about CBB at all so thanks everyone for
all the picks! $$$$$$$$$$ Freddie
Jacobson (-125) >>> Si Woo Kim $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The sweed has been playing some great golf as of lately with
three top 5 finishes in his last four tournaments including last week at pebble
where he was positioned to win on Sunday. The kicker here for me is his putting.
Freddie could be the best putter on tour right now and yesterday was no
different with young fred putting up a 2.472 SG Putting in the first round.
Freddie is also right on the cut line so I expect him to be more strategic
today with the driver. On the flip side Si Woo Kim is posting a negative SG
putting and doesn’t even crack the top 100 in that stat category this season.
Kim also hasn’t broken 70 in his last nine times out on the course. Expect
Freddie to come out hot with the putter today and play with some fire so he can
keep playing this weekend. |
