+2.5 is crummy considering Pinnacle had the Wolves +4 at even money late last night.  My +3 -108 is nothing special either but it was the best number available.  And although I like the Wolves to win the game, I'm not taking any moneyline because +130 or even +135 just sucks.

I haven't played the under in that game yet because unfortunately I found an amazing over trend for the Jazz that threw a wrench into my diabolical plans.  Turns out the Jazz are an over machine as road dogs after winning a home game where they shot better than 50% from the floor.  They shot 53.2% against the Spurs in Monday night's 104-101 win.  The last time this situation came up, the Jazz went over by 20 points in Cleveland a few weeks ago. 

So far I like the Wolves over the Hornets, and I took +3 -108 for the game and also bet them in the first half +1.5 -110. 

The Hornets are a bad team and it feels like a well-kept secret in the NBA.  They are 7-13 ATS this season, with two of those covers being sympathetic "barely" backdoors against the Celtics and Lakers (but still double digit losses) and one fantastically goofy lucky win and cover at home against Dallas in what should have been another home loss.  These Hornets even lost as road favs against the Knicks back when the Knicks couldn't beat anybody.

Last night the Hornets, for the third time this season, failed miserably to cover a pointspread against the Sacramento Kings, a team hardly anyone respects.  I realized afterwards that the Kings are simply the better team this season!  So why are the Hornets made 4-point favorites going into Minnesota against a rapidly-improving Wolves squad when the Kings would be dogs in the same spot?  The answer, obviously, is reputation, and that gives us Hornets faders all we really want - line value.
