Back at it again. Those of you that tuned in last week for my Play of the day, cashed in gloriously, with Berrios and the blue jays getting the win and doubling up our bankroll!

Today, I’m eyeing another team to bank on, based on its pitching matchup…. You ready????????

Cleveland Guardians -136,  Risking $500 to win $368

Guardians are an almost .500 ball club this season so far, good for second in AL Central. But when Shane Bieber (Justin’s Uncle) is on the mound, the Guardians are wayyyyy better. Especially when pitching at home!

The Biebs holds a solid 4-1 record and sports a sub 2.00 ERA at home this season. Pretty nasty. And I see him getting run support with a dinger from Jose Ramirez, which doesn’t take a wizard to bank on.

Great to be back on the baseball diamond! The past few days I’ve been raking, so I wanted to share my pick of the day with you all and continue to grip the profits!!!! Let’s go!!!! MLB lockeeeeeeeem up!!!!!

Toronto Bluejays -116

Risking $1000 to win $862

Risking a solid portion of my bankroll on this one. Bluejays are on the road going up against an Orioles team that is having a phenomenal start to the season at 42-24.  They have also won 5 straight.  Yet the line is nearly even!  Shady, it’s telling you something ….   It’s telling you to ride Berrios and the Jays!!!!!!

In the last 5 games Berrios is 3-1 with a 2.01 ERA and is on pace to have a career high in K’s at 70 so far.  He’s nasty. Ride the hot hand….
And Bo Bichette is the truth too!!!! Leading the team in HR (14), RBI’s (43) and average is .316.

OK enough scribble scratch.   Just back the Jays and ride with A$AM PIPE$ and let’s get this skrillah! You can thank me tomorrow morning ;)

 If you guys didn't notice..... 2 of the 3 of my dogs HIT. If you had put them in a 3 team parlay you would have been a loser, but if you played them individually, than you cashed in Nicely!

Marquette wins outright covering +4 by beating Wisconsin with a buzzer beater. WINNER

Seton Hall didn't cover +4.5 and got spanked by an excellent Oregon team. LOSER

Valparaiso loses to Purdue by 7 points but easily covers the +14.5 spread. WINNER

PIPE$ UNDERDOG FRIDAY NIGHT PLAYS

Seton Hall +4.5  vs. Oregon -4.5

This game could easily be a coin flip, as you have two really good teams playing on a neutral court. It should also be noted that both teams are coming off losses that they easily could have won. Both teams will come out fired up that's for sure, but I'll take the Pirates and the points in this one.

Seton Hall +4.5, Risk $110 to win $100

Marquette +4 vs Wisconsin -4

While Wisconsin is playing championship caliber basketball, I'm not sure if they can contain the offensive explosiveness the Golden Eagles bring to the court. Give me the points in this one.

Purdue -14.5 vs Valparaiso +14.5

Too much chalk for me to eat here.... While Purdue is solid, they had a bad loss to Clemson which could have brought their spirits down. While Valpo doesn't have a win yet, I expect them to cover tonight.

Advice: If you have some extra coin to play with, it may not hurt you parlaying Seton Hall/Marquette and Valpo into a three teamer.... maybe just for sh*ts and giggles..... The payout would be juicy!!!

Top of the afternoon fellas! Looks to be an exciting night on the diamond, and while mutliple teams jump out at me to lay the wood on, I'll be taking a more conservative route tonight and will just be making one straight up Money line play:

Athletics -180 (Montas)

Really liking Oakland in this matchup against the Angels at 10:07 PM… The A’s will compete for their 10th straight win and they get one of their studs Frankie Montas to toe the rubber for them just to spice things up. Montas has been outstanding this season and is 6-2 with a 2.40 ERA and 61 strikeouts.... Not too shabby. Not to mention, he is also 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA and nine strikeouts in his career against the Angels.

It also helps the A's that their offense has been raking and Olson is back healthy and looking sharp.

Play the Athletics confidently.

Baltimore Orioles +170

The Orioles-Yankees kick off the first game of their series in Baltimore this evening. And believe it or not, the Orioles appear to be the value play here. They've got Andrew Cashner toeing the rubber whose been solid for the majority of the season posting a 4-2 record with 40 K's and a 4.10 ERA. He's been consistent in his last few outings and I see him doing well even against a very stout NYY lineup.

The Yankee's have J.A. Happ on the mound who is 3-3 with a 4.44 ERA, but the catch here is, he has given up 9 runs in 13 2/3 innings in his three starts against the Orioles this season. And while the Yankees have been on a roll as of late, Baltimore is really the team with the most to prove. I like the underdog with the Orange beak and the better pitcher right now to win this game.

2 Team Parlay

Rockies -170 (Marquez)

SP German Marquez gets the start for the Rockies at home tonight who play the Padres. Marquez is 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA to go along with 52 K's. He hasn't always been stellar at home this season but that was when the Rockies bats weren't as hot. Now that the Rockies have been kicking it up a notch, I like them to score a lot of runs and protect Marquez in case he lets up the long ball in this mile high stadium where baseballs fly. The Padres have a better record and have Eric Lauer pitching, whose been solid in the last 5 of 7 games, but has the propensity to give up the long ball and walk a lot of batters.... something that makes me want to side with the Rockies in this one.

Athletics -157 (Montas)

Frankie Montas toes the rubber for the A's tonight and is putting together a very solid season thus far, going 4-2 with a 2.75 ERA to go along with 35 K's. However the A's have lost 9 of their last 12 games but could be in for a big rebound tonight against the Cleveland Indians. For the Indians, Cody Anderson is on the mound and is a guy who is 0-1 with an 11.12 ERA and has pitched just 5.2 innings this season, allowing 9 hits, 7 runs and 5 walks...... I like Montas to continue his impressive season and see the A's taking this one from the Tribe.

A$AM CITY'S DOG O' THE DAY for Thursday, May 9th, 2019

PICK:

Texas Rangers +143

Risk $525 to win $750.74

Mike Minor is pitching for the Rangers (17-17) and has been excellent this season so far going 3-2 with a 2.40 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. Add along 48 K's with only 14 walks and he will soon be entering into the chatter of premier SP's in the MLB.

Tonight he has a tough test against the Houston Astros (22-15), that has Wade Miley on the mound. Miley has been formidable going 2-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 1.17 WHIP, adding a very low strikeout count of 23 K's. 

I could see Joey Gallo ripping 1 or maybe even 2, monsterous dingers off Miley, helping the Rangers to tack on the necessary runs needed for Minor to do his thing on the mound against the consistent bats of the Stro's.

I like going relatively heavy here on a dog in the Rangers.... They're a .500 ball club with powerful bats and their hottest pitcher on the mound, and they have done well against the Astro's this season. On this play, I'm going to go BALLS DEEP!!!!

Greetings gentleman!

Starting to post my plays every day.... So, let's go on a nice roll and rake in some dough!!!!

3 Team Parlay:  

Red Sox -210 -- More juice than I prefer but the Red Sox are 5-2 in their last season games and the World Series champions appear to be heating things up at the right time, and it helps that a recently hot David Price is on the mound for them.  Also, the White Sox have Giolito on the mound tonight, a guy with a 5.30 ERA who walks a lot of batters. I see Mookie Betts raking, and I see the Red Sox taking this one.

Rays -170 -- Charlie Morton is on the mound for the Rays with a 3-0 record and sub 3.0 ERA. He also has been lights out recently and is toeing the rubber against the Royal’s Danny Duffy, a guy who is just coming back from injury and is 1-5 in his last 6 starts. The Rays are playing very solid baseball and should have a relatively easy time taking down a pretty weak Duffy and the Royals.

Twins - 120 -- The Twins ace Jose Berrios takes the mound against a top contender in the Astros. Berrios is 4-1 on the season with a 2.97 ERA and over 40 K’s. Brad Peacock is starting for the Astro’s and while he has been OK, he is still the Astro’s 5th man in their rotation. While the Astro’s certainly have the ability to knock Berrios around, I don’t see it happening today and like the Twins to eek this one out.
