They'll be wanting some revenge for the 4-3 shootout loss on the 18th that the Blues let slip through their fingers in the third period and ultimately lost in a 7 round shootout. Tonight's Picks NYR NYI - NYI to Win @ -155 NYR NYI - NYI Over 2.5 @ -145 TB NJD - TB to Win @ -110 TB NJD - TB Over 2.5 @ -130 - 2 Units TOR EDM - TOR to Win @ -130 TOR EDM - TOR Over 2.5 @ -155 Tonight you've got some of the leagues best offences taking on some of the leagues worst defences. I like the Islanders over the Rangers in a back to back situation against a backup. The Islanders are currently averaging 3.09 goals per game, like Moulson last night I expect Vanek to have a solid game with his new team tonight. Rangers are averaging 3.5 goals against (2nd worst in the NHL). Talbot hasn't played too badly in his first two starts which I don't expect to last too long. Tampa's offence should be able to overpower an weak NJ Devils offence tonight. Tampa's is currently averaging 3.36 goals per game (3rd best in the NHL). NJ currently allowing 3.00 goals per game against. Brodeur has give up at least 3 goals in all 5 of his starts this season. Finally I see Toronto's goaltending leading them to a win tonight against Bachman and the Oilers. Gagner will be a help for the Oilers tonight, but I still see Toronto's offence being too much for a weak Oilers defence. Adding: TOR CLS - TOR To Win @ Even CAR COL - COL Puckline. @ +135 Carolina in back to back games against the surprisingly strong defence of Colorado is going to spell trouble for the Hurricanes. On top of that, they've got Peters in goal on no rest. Goals should come easy for Colorado tonight. Clarkson back in the lineup is a big help to the Leafs, they've got three strong lines if Lupul can go tonight. With Bernier and Bob going I see this being a low scoring game at least on one side, hoping that it stays under the 5.5 total goals. The Islanders Pens game should be a typical high scoring game only amplified with Zatkoff starting. Over in the last 10 has been 6-3-1. Vancouver is going to be in trouble tonight on three games in four nights, a long flight to St. Louis and either Lu for his third straight or Lack in net. St. Louis on a weeks rest. Minny has only scored more than 2 goals twice this season (against Dallas and Anaheim). Harding has been great as of late and Ward is getting back to form, I see both having a solid first period to start this game off. Both teams have been playing conservative first periods in their last couple of outings, I don't see that changing tonight. Elias appears to be back in the lineup for tonight, which will help them offensively. I still think the Canucks will be more focused tonight after a poor showing on the island last game. Philly should benefit from the full week off to get their game figured out. I expect a game against an injury filled Rangers lineup is just what they need to regain their confidence. Washington is starting to heat up, and Edmonton returning from a road trip is a good spot bet, I think they'll have a slow start tonight. Edmonton is not good enough defensively to beat Washington in my opinion. ANA TOR - Under 5.5 @ Even - Loss VAN NYI - Van to Win @ -120 - Win EDM MON - Under 5.5 @ -125 - Loss CHI FLA - Under 5.5 @ -140 - Win NSH MIN - Under 5 @ -120 - Win Tonight OTT DET - DET to Win @ -155 OTT DET - Under 5.5 @ -130 BOS BUF - BOS to Win @ -170 BOS BUF - Under 5 @ Even I like the Howard Anderson battle, both are coming off great starts, I think Detroit is just playing stronger right now than the Sens and they're at the Joe. Being Alfredsson's first game against his old team, we'll see a lot of emotion in a hard fought close contest. Boston should have an easy time with Buffalo even with their backup Johnson playing. Boston's defence should provide great support in front of him, he has done quite well in past starts for Phoenix. Shutting down Tampa's offence on Saturday is impressive and Buffalo's offence is awful. Ryan Miller is playing strong and shouldn't let this game get too out of hand.
