created a topic Was I boxed for Whining? in Penalty Box That would be a shame if I was boxed because of winning. I put a lot of work into my picks and I like to see others enjoying them. A lot of people were doing well with the games I posted. I have always been a fan of covers. I think the info here is the best. I have learned a lot from reading threads here as I am sure others have. Many people have relied on my picks in the NFL this year. I would hate from them not to be able to get them here on covers. I would like to stay here on covers but if everyone has to search for me elsewhere then I guess that's what they will have to do. replied to suicide pool, help in Office Pools I have had some success in survivor pools in the past. My rules are 1. Always take a home team unless there are no other options 2. I do not save teams for later in the season unless I have multiple choices that week, then I look ahead to see which I would want to take in the future. Injuries wind up changing things in the futre anyway. My logic is I have a better shot at picking a 3 or 4 pt fav in week 14 than I do in week 2. By week 14 I have more info. I let everyone else out think themselves early. Inevitably, in a large one, some guy will be alive in week 14 with a bunch of top teams left because he was able to dodge bullets along the way. He will have an advantage but I would rather get down to the end with weaker teams left then get knocked out early. I had to take 2 in week 1, I had AZ and SF. Probably lucky to be alive. Took Det and SD since. I am going with TB this week. I like GB, TB and PHI. I go to rule 2 and I have options with GB in the future. It comes down to who you like better PHI or TB for me. Like these Buccaneers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win. Buccaneers are 6-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. Buccaneers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 4. Buccaneers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall Those mean nothing to me either. I can not guarantee a TB win but I can tell you the probability of them covering is high so they warrant a bet. For you guys who play poker I am sure you have lost with a set to a flush draw many times. Well that's what we have in this game (almost). Let's hope we are not sucked out on. We would be ahead a bit more using the kelly had the Washington game Monday been on the board before the Sunday games. Because it was not we lost out on a lot of winning parlays. Also the PHI Sunday night game would have been over a $200 swing, maybe even $300 had Vick not gotten hurt. But those things happen and we will get lucky on a few along the way as well. That one hurt because it was the biggest play of the week. If we start hitting the top games more than the bottom ones the kelly will help us otherwise flat betting is going to win out.
