@TRAIN69 Nice analysis Train. However, I'd push back on Syracuse secondary. It's skewed bc of the Purdue game. Purdue might be the best 1-2 team in the country. Syracuse rolls big tonight. Virginia is not very good, and doesn't have the athletes to keep pace. |

Progressive betting strategy. Took WVU -2 last night and rolling principle and proceeds into Syracuse. Virginia is going to get smoked tonight. They don't have the same offense as last year. Armstrong looks like a different human, and not in a good way. Syracuse brings a sturdy D. And a sneaky dark horse Heisman candidate at the QB spot. My one concern for Syracuse is that their running game hasn't been as good this year as last year. Sneaky suspicion that gets going tonight with Sean Tucker posting 100+ yards. |

Yeah. Don't be fooled by taking the road favorite here, or the 1-2 WVU record. V-Tech cannot score the football. WVU, while the defense is not great, they will muster enough points to pull away early and keep this out of reach. I find it hard to see how V-Tech can fight back and score points to keep pace with WVU. |

@TRAIN69
For those feeling ballzy - Arizona State money line. 42nd post in this thread. The great Pat Tillman wore #42 for ASU. This is not a coincidence. |

@ddoback I'm a big fan of Gundy and think he represents the best form of college football. But I think the Achilles heel for OSU to replicate last year's success will be the defense. Just too much turnover, and the D had some legit NFL guys last year. Your defensive line terrifies me though. They are every bit as good as last year. I think we will know in the first quarter how competitive this game will be. If ASU can run the ball OSU might be in trouble. Again, I will stress the size and athleticism of the ASU secondary. These guys are huge at every position between CB and the safeties. Watch out for someone that nobody is talking about yet... Chris Edmonds, Safety for ASU. He transferred from Samford where he was an all American at the FCS level. He's 6'2 215 lbs and runs like a deer. I think he also plays in the NFL. Will be tough for ASU to win this game outright, but I do believe they cover and it's a very close game. Gundy is great in close games though, but I'll be on that +345 ASU money line. I'm still not a believer in Spencer Sanders. He will cost you one or two games this year. And I think OSU will have challenges running the ball this season. You'll miss Warren at the RB spot. That guy was good - despite what I think was a pretty average Oline last year run blocking wise. Good luck on Saturday brother. |

@TRAIN69
Thx, Train. I'm not being a homer about ASU. I really believe they made some huge upgrades via the transfer market. Okie St is not the 11th ranked team in the country. They have some serious issues on defense. And I believe ASU will exploit these areas. Emory Jones is very underrated. I think this is a one possession football game late in the 4th. Also, look at the size discrepancy between the ASU secondary (they are huge and long) vs the diminutive Okie St WRs. This will matter. My biggest concern in this game is the legit front four for Okie St. These guys are good. If ASU can't run the ball they can't win this game. But I think the larger personnel packages for ASU which will include a Fullback (yes the position still exists) and Swinson the 6'8 TE will bolster ASU's run game. I think Swinson will play in the NFL. He was underutilized at Mizzou and he's nimble, huge, fast, and run blocks well. |

@PeAceMaKer7690 I see the Army and Pitt angles, but I don't see New Mexico being competitive against Boise. Boise is now playing purely for Mountain West pride. They are going to destroy New Mexico. And Boise looked bad bc Oregon St is really good. Maybe the 2nd best team in the PAC. |

@davemsh ASU benefited immensely from the transfers that they procured. Bet the game if ASU is such a dumpster fire. And if Okie St is the clear favorite - why did it open at only 11? And now public chalk (probably you) have moved it to 12.5. |

@davemsh
LOL I will remember you in a couple days. And check back in when your money is in my pocket if you're on OSU -11. |

@davemsh That's the public perception on ASU. And the public will be very wrong on Saturday. Yes, ASU has 40 new transfer players. But big upgrades on both the offensive and defensive lines. Emory Jones played well in the scrimmage against NAU. The RBs for ASU are explosive. The TE transfer from Mizzou, Swinson, is 6'8 has great hands, moves like he's 6'3, and is a punishing run blocker. ASU has the longest and biggest secondary that I've seen in the 20-years that I've been following the team. NFL coaches are littered across the board for ASU. I think they cover and win this game outright. |

Pitt and Arizona St represent the best money line plays IMO. Not just a homer take on ASU. More of a function of Oklahoma St replacing 8 defenders and their D-coordinator. |

@steponaduck IMO Oregon St is maybe the 2nd best PAC team this year. They are very good. I think Boise looked awful bc of how good Oreg St is. Boise will demolish New Mexico tomorrow night and right the ship in the MW conference. |

@Bridge1 More of a function of v-tech being diaper on fire dumpster situation, than ODU winning the game. |

Wahoo - YDM: You Da Man. Glad to see you posting bc you are a legend. Couple thoughts, USC spread looks like a trap and is chalky. I 1000 percent agree with you on Pitt. I'm taking them money line. And, what do you think of Boise tomorrow night? Smash city right. They lost their NY6 bowl opportunity against what I think is a very good Oreg St team and now they turn their focus to dominating the MW, especially given that SDSU is down this year. I think there is value in Boise -17, should be closer to 21 IMO. BOL brother. Please keep posting. You are the best handicapper on this site. |

@bucknut5 ASU will surprise people this year, including at OSU on Saturday. I think ASU is an 8-win football team after watching them against NAU. The defense is very athletic. The offensive line is better than anticipated with lots of size. The LT for ASU will play in the NFL. Emory Jones is an effective game manager at quarterback and is a plus athlete and serves as an additional running back. Swinson, the TE, is enormous at 6'8 and he moves like he's 6'3 and is also a punishing run blocker. Nobody is giving ASU a chance against OSU, even though OSU is starting 8 new players on defense and lost their coordinator. OSU and NC State are the two most overrated teams in the AP 25 right now. I think both are 8-win football teams. I was on CMU +21.5 vs OSU last week. OSU has some problems on defense that will hinder them. Also, OSU cannot run the ball well. They will be in several shootouts this year, but my view is that Sanders is the same QB from last year, but now he doesn't have a run game. Herm Edwards will slow this game down, and I don't think OSU will be able to have many explosive plays on offense. I think this goes to the wire even though the game is in Stillwater. Reminds me a lot of when Herm Edwards went into Michigan St in 2019 and came out with a surprising win. |
