0/3 Regression strikes again

Raptors are not in the same class as Bucks and Warriors. They are only slightly better than the Blazers. That being said, raptors should win at least 1 game, so it's very reasonable to make a play on raptors and double up on game 4 if they don't hit tonight.
Warriors 1A Bucks 1B Raptors 1.5 Blazers 2 |

They might be due for regression if they were not playing some of their all-time best ball.
Raptors gave their best punch in game 1 and came short. When a weaker team plays a dominant home team and they get close to winning like that on the road and fall short, they usually get blown out game 2. Just look at GSW vs SAS game 1 of the 2017 conference finals. Spurs almost steal game 1, and get destroyed game 2 afterwards in almost the same way we saw tonight. |

So much for regression

Rough losses but we'll bounce back.
Clips have a great chance to win this game SU. Warriors don't lose two in a row but I doubt they can cover the spread with the tenacity that LAC is playing with. LAC +10 LAC +6.5 1h |

"Here is a saying I have used many times and is supported by history......................
When the more experienced team is the better team they win When the more experienced team is no longer the better team they no longer win" Sorry if you came up with it but that's a really stupid saying. It literally reduces to -- The better team wins. Which is in no way profound. |

Gentleman's sweep coming tonight for the rockets vs jazz, and GSW will be out to make a statement like some of the other dominant teams and close out their opponent.

Thought that Harden would have learned by now how to show some effort in the playoffs, but hes still not showing it. Traveling on a eurostep? Losing the ball and not hustling after it, then yelling at your teammate because he didn't go after your mistake? Walking around on the court with dead body language? CP3 trying to close this game out and harden already gave up mentally. Oh well, Rockets wont go deep with Harden losing focus like this. 0-1 Playoffs |

That's why you post 50 comments before your pick, talking about your record and how great you are and how great you've done, along with making new threads. Lmao you're not fooling anyone. It's ALL about the ego for you. You're either delusional or a pathological liar. |

Game was progressing and looking like a toss up as expected until the warriors pulled ahead in the closing minutes of the 4th. Durant was just too good and Lebron, while having a nice totals just wasn't good enough tonight. 46% shooting and 1/6 from three versus durant's 65% and 6/9 shooting. Tough loss on but you can't win em all. 9-2 2018 Playoffs |

Game 3 cavs vs warriors write up:
Player psychology is a huge component of the outcome in sports at this level and even more so during the playoffs as these are athletes that have so much practice that only their mentallity can cause their performance (and thus the outcome) to noticibly deviate from what is expected. I said from the start of the series that Cavs will be in do or die mode. That is true more than ever now with them back on their home court and down 2-0. If they lose this game the series is as good as over. LeBron was relatively passive in game 2 as I expected. He played well enough that if his teammates stepped up in a big enough way that they were poised to steal the game, but of course no one really came through. If I'm lebron I planned to save my energy in game 2 to be able to go all out in game 3 at home where I have a much better chance to get some help than on the road after a crushing loss. Bron will be more desparate than game 1 and i expect at least around 40 points. We may even see another 50 pt game. The rest of the team know as well that today is their last chance if theyre to have any hopes of making this series interesting. Desparation will be at an alltime high. With so much pressure on them due to the situation and narrative that they are useless, they've shown they need the safe haven of homecourt to play well, and they will have it and the comfort it affords tonight. Conversely if im the Warriors, in the back of my mind im already celebrating. I've been here before up 2-0 and facing a Kyrieless Cavs team, I dont see how they will beat me. The Larry O'Brien trophy is as good as mine. Like I said before, you cant fake desparation. Of course the game plan for the Warriors will be to come out strong and step on the necks of the cavs by taking a 3-0 lead, but i dont see it happening. This is a team that should have but couldnt even sweep the Kahwiless Spurs. If they could take a game off the Warriors, then the Cavs certainly should be able to, and if that happens it will be in game 3/4 at home while they still have a sliver of hope. You cannot compete when you dont believe you can win, and if they lose tonight that hope will have all but vanished. the cavs managed to win game 4 last year down 3-0 but that was more of a fu.ck you statement to the Warriors who were trying to complete the first ever perfect nba postseason. Warriors will no doubt be thinking they have lots of wiggle room and can drop a game or two without feeling pressured. They've shown via not sweeping the Spurs and not being able to take a pivotal game 5 on the road against the Rockets that they are not the locked in team on a mission that they were last year, when they were motivated by their devastating loss in 2016. Of course the Warriors are still by far the better team but this game looks to be a tossup and so we take the Cavs +4. BOL everyone. |

Tough spot today compared to games 1 and two which were relatively easy.
Cavs showed in game two that they can hang with the warriors even in a situation where the score should have been a 20+ lead for the warriors headed into the 4th. Seems likely they win at least one game, and it should come in either game 3/4.
Longer writeup may follow closer to game time as I am quite busy.
Cavs +4 |
