Thank you all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. I'm sad to say that Tom (The_Outlaw) passed away Monday morning. He was 38 years old and is survived by his wife and 3-year old son.

Hi my name is Mark and I'm The Outlaw's (real name is Tom) cousin. I would post for him when he was stuck at work and didn't have time. Whenever he didn't have write ups for his plays that was me posting.

Outlaw spent a lot of time here and I know even though he never met any of you he enjoyed the friendships he made at Covers. Because of this I felt I should pass along this news.

Outlaw was struck by a drunk driver that ran right through a stop sign yesterday afternoon. He is in bad shape right now and the doctors say it will be touch and go over the next 24-48 hours. As part of his real family I am hurting and I hope the friends he made here will pray for him. He can use all the help he can get right now. Thank you all so much.

Sorry buddy. I wasn't going to play any CBB tonight. That was a last minute play. I should have stayed away from that bullshit UConn team. Not much you can do about the Flyers. When the goaltender doesn't have it on a certain night, he doesn't have it. There will be better days. At least I hope so or I will have to quit gambling.

Taking a shot here. I think UConn plays well tonight and if they do there should be some points scored in this game. If you follow along, make sure to put the same amount on both plays. Most of my bets are $500 wagers in CBB but tonight I put $350 a piece on UConn and the over. Good luck.

I was actually looking at Edmonton but I heard Gretzky, Messier and Coffey are all out tonight.

Now that CBB season is winding down and I have more free time I will be hitting the pucks. I don't keep track of units/money in CBB because 99 percent of my bets are for the same amount and when I do go bigger I mention it. However, with Hockey obviously having different odds for each game, I will keep track.  Let's see if we can start things off on a winning note tonight. Starting the year off with $100 bets until I get going. Good luck everyone.

Morehead State -15
Without Trenton Marshall's 18 PPG, Jacksonville State is having trouble scoring points. They simply can't keep up with the high-powered Eagles without their leading scorer. Morehead scored 94 points and beat Jacksonville State by 19 a month ago with Marshall on the court. It will be even worse tonight. Morehead State wins this game easily. Good luck.

After a red-hot 19-6 run I have dropped my last two and to be honest neither play was close. I knew a cold stretch was coming but so far this year my hot streaks have gone much longer than my cold ones. Let's hope that trend continues. Here are three for tonight. I will probably go 1-2. I'm still on fade alert until probably around Monday or Tuesday. 

Western Kentucky/FIU over 145 - Sorry for the jinx BlakeJeff but I'm finally jumping on board tonight.

Villanova +5 - Just have a hunch that this is going to be a very tight game throughout. 

New Mexico State -7 - Aggies playing well and get Boise coming off a big road win at La Tech.

Lost last night with a terrible play on Memphis to end an 8-game winning streak. I may be on the verge of a little cold run so beware.

St Marys/Pepperdine over 144
The first meeting between these two was played in the 160's and I expect more of the same tonight. The Waves play no defense and St Mary's knows how to put the ball in the hoop at home. I think the Gaels reach 88-92 points tonight and this over cashes pretty easily. Good luck.
