Remember, before this award show the MVP was announced way earlier than the same day as the superbowl. I believe it was right after the season ended during or after the Wild Card playoffs.

night before christmas...superbowl
The past 6 seasons the NFL has been having their own annual Award Ceremonies the night before the SuperBowl. This might be quite a distraction when in the same 24 hour period you are finding out you're the NFL MVP and then have to go out there and play in the biggest game of your life. The stats show these awards seem to be consolation prizes for all the teams that didn't win the Superbowl. The MVPs are 0-2, Cam Newton last year and Peyton Manning 2013. This year, Matt Ryan got MVP and the Falcons have a record setting 6 awards to collect.....if the Patriots win today, then it will be the 3rd time awards went to nobody but losers as the winning team didn't collect any awards, but instead collecting the Vince Lombardy Trophy by winning the Super Bowl. 1st: In 2011, 0 winners as Giants beat Patriots 21-17 No Award for either team in this contest. 2nd: in 2012, 2 Winners as Ravens beat 49ers 34-31 Ray Rice Play of the Year Torrey Smith Never Say Never Moment of the Year Losing team: "Greatness on the Road" Award Colin Kaepernick 3rd: in 2013, 0 winners as Seahawks beat Broncos 43-8 Losing team: Manning was MVP of the year! and Offensive Player of the Year! and Air Player of the Year! 4th: in 2014, 1 winner as Patriots beat Seahawks 28-24 Comeback Player of the Year Rob Gronkowski 5th: in 2015, 1 Winner as Broncos beat Panthers 24-10 Assistant Coach of the Year Wade Phillips Losing Team: Cam Newton got MVP! and Offensive player of the year! Ron Rivera got coach of the year! 6th: in 2016, How many winners will there be? If the Falcons win: 6!!! in the Patriots win: 0 Salute to Service Award Dan Quinn HC Atlanta Falcons [4] Deacon Jones Award Vic Beasley Jr. LB Atlanta Falcons FedEx Air Player of the Year Matt Ryan Atlanta Falcons AP MVP Matt Ryan QB Atlanta Falcons [2] AP Assistant Coach of the Year Kyle Shanahan OC Atlanta Falcons [2] AP Offensive Player of the Year Matt Ryan QB Atlanta Falcons C. Newton last year 265 yards throwing, 45 yards rushing. 0 TDs and 3 Turnovers (1 pick 2 fumbles) Peyton Manning a few years ago 280 yards throwing with 1 TD and 3 Turnovers (2 picks 1 Fumble) Combined, when being awarded MVP and playing in the superbowl on the same day, the teams are 0-2, and the MVP, both Quarterbacks, have a combined 1 Touchdown and 6 Turnovers. |

You've been warned!
Many weeks ago I told this guy "MAYBE" we would work together, and he went ahead and started a twitter.com. I decided never to go through with it, but he said he was getting calls and asked me to come on covers.com and lie for him. This made me realize there might be others attempting to do the similar. This is so you all know FYI. I am not selling picks nor will I be selling picks in case anyone attempts to claim this name. Anyone claiming on Twitter or elsewhere to be "TheFootball77" from Covers.com is a liar! |

8 out of the 10 games of the NFL playoffs, Vegas made the correct side the favorite with the right point spread.
If Colin Cowherd tells you Team A will win 31-30, it is equivalent to saying the line is -1, 61. When Vegas gives Atlanta +3 and 59, they are saying the final score will be EXACTLY 28-31. If you say Nah, I think Atlanta wins, you are saying you think Vegas is wrong. This playoffs, clearly Vegas has proven to be the best the NFL handicapper if you look at the scores and who they picked to win. |

Honestly.
I know the Patriots 6 Superbowl's have been 3 or 4 point games, but this one will be a two plus score difference at the end. Wouldn't bother being so worried over the half a point and chances are it will stay at 3. |

Maybe with men this is impossible, but with the LORD, all things are possible. I truly believe next season, if I continue to follow the ingredients of God's recipe, I will have back-to-back %70+ NFL seasons. FYI. Spiritual Theory why the Patriots and Steelers are consistently in the Playoffs.
in NFL Betting
All the other guys in the league are eating Heinz Ketchup, using Gillette Razors to shave as they gobble up all those Kraft food products.
Example: Andy Reid doesn't do so well when he plays at Heinz Field. He is 0-4 against the Steelers at Heinz field with Kansas City and Philadelphia, losing twice with both teams. The only time Andy Reid beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh was when the stadium wasn't Heinz field, it was Three Rivers Stadium (Pittsburgh, PA). Andy Reid's biggest loss was in the superbowl against the Patriots, where he is 1-1 at Gillette Staidum. The Good news for tomorrow is that Andy Reid is playing at home in Arrow Head Stadium; but I wonder how many people on the staff of Kansas City Chiefs were gobbling down Heinz products this weekend and will on game day? Lets recall Pittsburgh City last week where some vendors decided a "No fish products" policy as long as they were playing the Dolphins. Good things happened for them. |
