Don't want to bet online. Does anyone know if there are bookies, not sportsbooks, that take bets from people outside of Vegas? Is that even legal? Not too sure how that process works or how to find a legitimate person to take your bets in Vegas. any suggestions?

Detroit (-115) vs. Toronto Sanchez has been solid as of late while Dickey has struggled since the all star break. Toronto is still without some of their big bashers and I look forward Miggy Cabrera to get out of his slump tonight. Toronto's best hitter Bautista is 1-8 against Sanchez in his life. Sanchez is 2-0 with a 1.31 ERA in his last three starts against the Jays. Washington (+105) vs. Atlanta Strasburg against Santana in a pitchers dual. Both pitchers have been solid lately, so my theory to always go with the better pitcher is a tough one here. The reason I'm going with Washington is that Atlanta has lost eight games in a row. They have not scored more than 4 runs in their last eight games and I just don't see them scoring more than 1 tonight against Burg. I would probably take Atlanta end their losing streak, if they weren't going against Strasburg who will shut them down. Wash offense is just better than Atlanta. San Fran (-110) vs. KC The hottest team in baseball in the KC Royals. Since July 22nd, the Royals are 12-3 which holds the best record. Bumgarner, although, is coming off the best start of his career and I think he is going to stop the Royals tonight. One big reason I think that is because Vargas is pitching for the Royals. Vargas (8-5, 3.69) has lost consecutive starts and seen his ERA climb to its highest point since entering a May 25 start at 3.76.

How's everyone doing today? My pick for tonight is the Dodgers giving a 1.5 runs. Don't really have to say much about Clayton. He has been the best pitcher in baseball this year and looks unstoppable. He's going against a team that is historically bad offensively. The over/under in this game is 6. If the Padres could score negative runs, I would probably take that bet.
Pitching for the Padres is a kid named Odrisamer Despaigne. Do not be fooled by the record and era. He has pitched well in the first couple starts of his major league career, but he has not seen an offense like the Dodgers. I think he is somewhere in between his major league stats and what he did down in triple A ( 1-3, 7.61 ERA). The fact that I can give 1.5 runs and get it at -110 seems like a steal. Again, Clayton against the Padres is a no brainer. All the Dodgers have to do in this one is score more than 1 run and they will. Talk to you guys soon. Good luck with the pick.

Hi Everyone,
I'm loving Yu Darvish and the Texas Rangers tonight. Giving 1.5 seems like a deal considering the pitchers going and the offenses going as well…. 1) The last time Yu Darvish faced off against Houston he went 8 strong while striking out 9 batters, without giving up a run. He is one of the best pitchers in baseball. 2) While Texas's offense is nothing to scream and shout about, they're going up against Dallas Keuchel. Dallas has given up 4, 4, and 5 runs in his last three starts. I like Texas to jump all over him tonight. 3) Yu Darvish should have a field day against a Houston team who's is in the bottom of the league in hitting. Going for my third straight win. Really like this one tonight.

Sonny Gray is the 6th best starting pitcher tonight behind Verlander, Fister, Teheran, Tanaka and Cueto. I'm going to stay away from the top five because they are all facing offenses that are above average. The only one who is not is Cueto against the Cubs, but the Reds offense is struggling all season (Cueto is only 8-6, with 1.99 era - He should be 14-0).
- Sonny Gray was solid in his last outing going 7 strong agaisnt great TOR offense giving up only 1 run. - Bumgarner's last 2 starts have been trouble. He hasn't made it six full innings and has given up 5 and 4 runs in those starts. - Oakland is the best offense in baseball. - San Fran's offense is ranked in the bottom 10 in offense. Both solid starting pitchers, but Gray has been much better as of late. I will take the team with the better offense by a lot. |

The Tigers seem like the easiest pick of the day for me. I'm going to give the 1.5 runs for +115. Here is my take on the game along with the starting pitchers.
1) Eric Bedard has really struggled as of late. In four of his last five starts he has failed to get out of the fifth inning. Does not look good facing a Tiger team who is 2nd in the league in hitting. 2) Max Scherzer is hot. His last two outings have been stellar ( giving up 1 and 2 runs ) and I love his streak to continue against a Tampa Bay team who ranks 24th in hitting. I feel very comfortable giving a run with the pitching match up being so lopsided as well as the talent on offense for both clubs. I will be providing my picks on a daily basis along with analysis of each pick. Enjoy.
