Lets hope he doesn't fuck it up again
Boy, those Johns boys are bad bad bad boys.......what has been revealed to the public is nothing
If it was revealed, the game would be on its knees.........
They are bad bad
Players betting on games is rife.......
A very good friend of mine is one of the 5 new recruits at the Bulldogs this year.....I was out with him 3 Fridays ago hitting the sauce......boy, u should hear what he has to say......

Having seen Michael Searle's work at the Titans at very close quarters for a couple of years I am convinced he is the prototype CEO that the NRL needs, NOW.
Todd Greenberg the Bulldogs CEO is another who appears to have a very good handle on everything associated with running a successful organisation.
These are the sort of people that Rugby League in Australia needs at the decision making helm imo.
Couldn't agree more. Those two guys are like a breath of fresh air

Andrew Johns is the only player in NRL history to take recreational drugs?
Matthew Johns is the only player in NRL history to gang bang a two-bit person?
Either of these two are the only player in NRL history to have a punt?
C'mon mate, their profile renders them open to all sorts of scrutiny. All the other deadshit fucks just fuck along unnoticed.

For all of their well publicised faults, the Johns brothers have done a lot for Rugby League and given a lot of fans a lot of enjoyment.
Nothing will excuse what Matthew was caught up in and what brought about his fall from grace, but I fear that we will never see the likes of him again in Rugby League - ie personality players.
The media scrutiny on NRL players has basically paralyzed all of them into shying away from any attention that isn't absolutely necessary. In other words, players don't trust journalists anymore because journalists are under pressure from their superiors and bean counters to sell papers / gain ratings through controversy and scandal.
Its a shame because its sucked most of the life out of the players who do possess a bit of 'spark'. 99% of all interaction between players and media nowadays is a PR driven exercise in talking a lot but saying very little in a bid to keep the "wolves" at bay.
Welcome to the sterile generation

I know everyone around here is excited and running around humping their furniture ect in anticipation of the upcoming NRL season but personally, I'll be making very few plays on this because imo it is an extremely difficult competition to bet.
The way the game is played nowadays / the way its officiated make it a real coin toss with most games hanging on a knife edge / exchanging tries before a frantic final few minutes where anything goes.
Once the season is a few rounds old, bookmakers are getting their lines very sharp nowadays imo.
