I will admit that I favour the Dragons in this game but not so much because Cooper and Smith are back. Simply because the Penrith defence is woeful and giving up 30 points is nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, they have allowed at least that in 3 of their last 5 games, all 3 of which were at home, to teams significantly worse than the Dragons. But, Penrith can score them as well and we will see if they can do that against the # 1 defensive team in the league.
All I have read so far this week is that the Panthers are looking forward to this so they can "see where they are at" as St. George are the benchmark. Together with this is the fact that this will be Penrith's 1000th game and no doubt it will be a full house. All this sounds as if that is enough already for Penrith to win the game, and I do not think the players actually believe they can win this game. All I hear is they want to see "where they are at".
I don't rate that Penrith fullback much either, Sammut. I look for him to be outlept when the bomb is put up and I have seen a play the Dragons use often and it wouldn't surprise me if I saw it tonight. The Dragons quite often put up a bomb around the posts and have Ben Hornby try to come in and compete for it one on one. If they can isolate Sammut, I expect Hornby, a former Dargons fullback, to touch down a 4 pointer tonight.
Good luck anyway. If I don't win you may as well.
