He's a great talent but he usually only plays well one in every 6 games

I've got no problem with the loyalty card to a point. For instance, I don't think Lockyer has been in great form at all, but I think he deserves his no.6 jersey.
 
I also have no problem with the all qld backline, perhaps Monaghan could've snagged a wing spot, but overall they are all there on form.
 
But the backrow? All 3 (plus Watmough) are extremely lucky that the Australian selectors have been, and seem destined to always be, reactive.

battler, they have to try and get a 50/50 split between NSW and Qld. Politics

The Qld players pick themselves, and you couldn't have a nsw player ahead of them, even Boyd. Therefore you have to pick nsw players in the other spots. Personally I would have Creagh in the backrow, and the Polar Bear as a bench prop

They couldn't find 1 player from the top 2 teams on the ladder

Agree that creagh and weyman deserve a spot. Couldn't complain with the side tho, they'll get the job done.
