Losing Day at the office. I feel like the first match of the day between Japan-Costa Rica, one of the worst you will ever see played, screwed up the way Spain-Germany played out. Did not expect Japan to come away with 0 points. Changed the entire group and gave Germany full life even if they lost to Spain. Anyways, small losses, onto tomorrow and the end of MatchDay 2.
2-2 (-$340) today
18-9-1 (+$8570) so far in the 2022 World Cup
Will be posting plays for all four games tomorrow shortly. Likely staying away from OVER bets they drive me insane haha!

Cameroon-Serbia 'UNDER' 2.5 -147 ($1470 to win $1000)
I said I wasn't going to bet on anymore OVER bets and I meant it at least for this match. I love the UNDER here. So far this 2022 World Cup we have seen 6 games played early at 1:00pm Local Qatar Time in the scorching sun and 5 of those 6 games had totals goals scored below 2.5. Those six games saw total goals scored of: 3-0-1-2-1-1. The only game that went OVER was the Argentina-Saudi Arabia. Playing in this kind of heat is exhausting and really takes a toll on the players. Also consider the fact that it has been 8 competitive matches since Cameroon was in a match that had 3+ goals scored. Both teams have some pretty big name goal scorers but this is the final early match of the tournament and I'll stick to the trend and take the UNDER.
South Korea-Ghana 'DRAW' +210 ($1000 to win $2100)
I am finally taking a big shot in this World Cup and jumping out of my odds range a bit for this. So far in all the matches I've bet on, I have yet to take anything but a spread or a total but this is the one I'm going for the DRAW at a huge price. Ghana went toe-to-toe with Portugal and showed they are not afraid to attack as they grabbed two goals and will be a problem for South Korea defenders. At the same time the South Korea attack will be a problem for Ghana's back end who had trouble stopping anything Portugal did. This could be a wild one. I see 1-1 or maybe even 2-2 but 0-0 wouldn't surprise me either although I really don't see the South Koreans being held goaless in both their opening games. A draw does not mean the end of either team in Group H and I'll enjoy the payday when it hits.
Brazil-Switzerland 'OVER' 2.5 -104 ($1040 to win $1000)
I don't care how good the opponent is on the defensive side of things, the books can't just post a total of 2.5 on a Brazil match and expect to come out on top. You have to consider Brazil good for at least 2 goals per game when they play. Coming into this World Cup and dating all the way back to February for World Cup Qualifying matches in South America, Brazil had seen 3+ goals in 6 of their last 7 matches. Serbia actually did a really good job defending in the opener (one of the reasons I am on the UNDER in their game) and holding Brazil to 2 goals but Switzerland is not scared. I know one would assume they'll pull their usual defensive tactis and play for a draw like they did at World Cup 2018 (1-1 draw in Group Stage) but I actually see the Swiss scoring a goal or two in this one and this turning into a pretty good match.
Uruguay +0.5 -115 ($1150 to win $1000)
This is the final match of MatchDay 2 and let me tell you this is going to be a beauty. Uruguay were a sneaky pick for so many to kind make their way around this World Cup under the shadows of Brazil and Argentina and possibly look just as good or better as both of them but that didn't happen in their opener against South Korea. At least they didn't lose like Argentina. Make no mistake about it this is a loaded lineup for Uruguay but maybe one that lacked the experience to shine in a World Cup Group Stage opener. There is a ton of offensive power and despite having 10 goal attempts against South Korea, they managed no shots on target. That's about to change. Portugal are vulnerable and everyone is drinking the CR7 Kool-Aid right now but remember they conceded twice to Ghana. Also don't forget Uruguay beat Portugal 2-1 in the Round of 16 at the 2018 World Cup. I'm going Uruguay to flip this group upside down a bit.

I have dipshit to you to. Can you see the picks have been total and not fundamentals who will win or lose but throwing a dice to see if there’s score or not score hence total

My absolute worst day of the World Cup so far . Wrong on all games. Small summary of my disasters today:
Cameroon-Serbia was a wild game. Onana the Cameroon keeper who plays for Inter Milan quit the team right before this match when he was left out of the lineup for not following the rules and orders of his coach to be more of a "traditional keeper". His backup is awful and was awful on all goals allowed. He opened this game up big time. May not have mattered. Loss
South Korea-Ghana took a real shot with this one. So close but South Korea defense was a mess gave up the later winner. Loss
Brazil-Switzerland: Kind of went against my own mentality of comfortable vs desperate and how comfortable teams play low scoring conervative games and desperate teams play a wide open style like the Cameroon-Serbia game. Learned my lesson. Loss
Uruguay: Portugal are the real deal, not sure why I thought otherwise. Loss.

I've been around long enough to shake these things off. Back at it again tomorrow with 4 more plays and hopefully get back to winning ways. Congrats to anyone who came out on top today!

Phil you were doing Great capping team then you move away and do totals. Totals have too many variables aka var ref
go back to basics
capping who is going win and is that team is going to cover the spread
it was good advice of what gotten you successful
